I made an appointment to meet Mr. Harley to discuss what could be done with my nose. I’ve been unhappy with the appearance of my nose for years (I had a steep bridge). Mr. Harley examined my nose and took pictures from different angles. He showed me photos of before and after work, he’s carried out on other patients in or a similar situation and started to talk about what could be done with mine. Mr. Harley understood what I wanted to be done and showed me on his computer roughly what it could look like. He was very honest and professional throughout which made me feel confident I was making the right decision. Later that day I received an email from Mr. Harleys secretory Linda with my quotation, which included a full break down of all the costs. I personally thought the price was reasonable for the type of operation I was expecting to have. As soon as I agreed to go ahead, Mr. Harley wanted to see me again Incase I had any other questions and to make sure I was 100% happy. On the morning of my operation, I checked in at reception and got shown to my room. The nurses introduced themselves and done some tests (all the nurses are extremely helpful and kind). Mr. Harley came and saw me make sure I was ok and took some more photos. After my operation I was looked after very well by everyone - nurses and healthcare assistants kept checking on me and offering me something to drink/eat. Mr. Harley saw me later that day to see how I was and explained how the operation went. After a comfortable night, it was almost time for me to go home. The nurses and Mr. Harley done some final tests and gave me some medication to take home - they explained what I should do if I had any problems and to call anytime. After a week, I had my splint and stitches removed. Mr. Harley was pleased with the result and so was I 100%! He explained it takes around a year for the nose to completely settle down which is understandable. Overall I can honestly say I am so happy with the service and care I received. All the staff are friendly, professional and always wanting to help. Mr. Harley is very professional, honest and caring - I would recommend him to anyone as he takes great pride in his work and looks after his patients.

Tummy tuck aims to restore a more youthful, toned tummy which has been affected by ageing, pregnancy and weight gain that all take their toll on your shape, especially around the waist and hips. Skin laxity and extra fat contribute to the heavy abdomen and hips making it difficult to wear the clothes you want and sometimes contributing to lower back pain or poor posture. What is a Tummy Tuck? Tummy tuck is a plastic surgical procedure which removes excess fat and loose skin around the lower abdomen between the navel (belly button) and the pants line. Skin from the upper abdomen is stretched downwards to replace the removed skin and the navel is stitched into position. This greatly improves the abdominal contour. What is a Mini Tummy Tuck? A few patients have a very small skin roll which is confined to the lowest section of the abdominal wall. In these cases is is possible to simply remove the small roll of skin without the need to reposition the navel. This is a less extensive procedure, taking approximately half the time of a full abdominoplasty. It leaves scar in the pants line, as does the abdominoplasty but no surgical scar is present around the navel. It may be possible to do this as an awake ‘local anaesthetic’ operation although general anaesthetic remains preferable. Other aspects of the surgery are similar to a full abdominoplasty - see below. Does the surgery require a general anaesthetic or hospitalisation? Tummy tuck surgery is done under general anaesthetic, as a day case or a one-night-stay procedure. How long is the procedure? Tummy tuck normally takes approximately 3 hours to complete depending on the complexity of the surgery.

I initially had my surgery booked with Dr Reddy. However he became very unwell. Lorraine - highly experienced (patient coordinator) gave me a call as soon as she could and scheduled my consultation with another surgeon Mr Khan straight away. I was able to come in within a few days for consultation face to face and all being well I would go ahead with the surgery. So far so good. I underwent my surgery yesterday (5th Feb 2022) and I can’t thank the staff (anaesthetists) - who were just hilarious and made me feel completely at ease and nursing team enough who were so kind and caring (and of course my surgeon - who listened to everything I had to say from start to finish) Thanks so much for making me feel so comfortable. Again I was booked in for a closed rhinoplasty however Mr Khan opted for open and due to the unforeseen circumstances I was not charged an extra penny. During the procedure a long curved cut is made in the skin across the lower abdomen at the level of the top of the pubic hair, and a separate small cut is made around the umbilicus ("tummy button"). Beneath the skin and fat the abdominal wall muscles are tightened with stitches and the excess skin and fat are then excised. The lower wound is stitched with dissolving sutures leaving the resulting scar concealed by bikini style underwear. The umbilicus ("tummy button") is stitched with a combination of dissolving sutures and some that will need to be removed 7-10 days after the operation.
