I'm from Australia and was going to Europe so I thought I'd look at places to get dental crowns done. The Whatclinic site threw up some highly rated clinics out of the thousands that are in Turkey. I sent the identical enquiry to 5 clinics. Most responded almost immediately. Some were low priced some were high. One clinic took a look at my teeth and included in the price 10 root canals! This suggested they thought the job was so difficult, that most of the teeth would need to be killed to be able to work on them. İstanbul Diş Akademisi came in at the middle to low priced end, very competitive. The attention to detail and ability to communicate however was very high-end. The person attending to me was Onur, who's English was excellent and his understanding of dental concepts was extensive because his answers were immediate and detailed. We agreed terms. I was taken to the clinic straight from the airport and after x-rays was given a thorough examination. Onur went through the options and explained that my case was a little complicated, which I knew already from decades of mouth/jaw/teeth problems. He explained that my upper jaw had not developed in line with the lower jaw, so a "V" shaped upper jaw sat on a normal "U" shaped lower jaw. This caused unsightly underbites on the SIDES of tooth line along with no overbite at the front. It was an ugly mess in there and I said I wanted to have a normal U on U tooth line with a normal overbite at the front. Onur assured me they would do their best. I though, thought the chances of being able to correct this without jaw surgery or long-term pallet expanders was slim. Well, Onur and his expert team achieved in just four days what could only be described as a miracle. I got exactly what I thought was impossible and without the need for any root canals. İstanbul Diş Akademisi achieved through expert computer design and manufacturing, -their facilities are hyper-modern and state of the art- what I was told in Australia could not be done. Even the uneven gum line was corrected without the need to cut into gums. Apart from their incredible ability, their warmth and customer attention was amazing. There was a real sense of caring and of not just being a number. Payment was simple and instant with Revolut and most of all, un-pressured. It turns out Onur is actually the General Manager and so to have that level of attention speaks volumes for this boutique clinic that is bound to grow in stature and reputation amongst a very crowded marketplace. I consider Onur and his team like family now and would not even think about going anywhere else. If six stars was available they would receive them from me.

From beginning to end, this clinic provides the best of the best. My dentist ran through my options and provided his professional opinion (which is what I went with). The results are simply amazing - my smile has been transformed. As part of my treatment the oral surgeon removed a wisdom tooth - she did it in less than 3 minutes with no pain. The reception staff and manager (Emma) are so friendly, helpful and supportive. It was a completely smooth process. Do not hesitate to book here!

I have just returned home having had laser eye surgery through Sam Patient Services. I had initially thought I would have it done in the UK but I was quoted £4,500 so I decided to research going to Turkey - I have previously been to Izmir but via a different company. Having done my research I decided to contact Sam patient services where my coordinator (Murat)asked for information about my eyesight, general health questions etc and I sent them an eye report from the opticians so that the surgeon could review all the information to see if I was suitable. I was also advised that there were several options for laser eye surgery (all explained individually along with the prices and what was included I.e. accommodation, breakfast etc) and that this could be discussed with the surgeon as to which would be more suitable for me. The surgeon confirmed that I was suitable and I would be able to have the procedure in around 3 weeks time! I then paid a small deposit to secure my booking but the remaining balance would need to be pain in sterling on arrival - this is common practice in Turkey. On arrival to Izmir I was collected from the airport via VIP taxi service who took me to the hotel - the Ramada Encore. The hotel was lovely and I had a sea view room on the 17th floor. After a short time my coordinator arrived to take payment and explained we would then go to the eye hospital (only 5 minutes away). I had several tests at the eye hospital and everything was explained to me at all stages in the process. The English spoken was very good. I was then introduced to the eye surgeon who explained more about the procedures and I decided to have the ‘Smile’ surgery. I was told I was able to have the surgery in around an hours time! I was transferred with another representative from Sam (everyone I met from Sam spoke excellent English and were lovely!) via hospital minibus to the central location to have the surgery. I was gowned up and given some eye drops and pain relief before the surgery. There was no pain during the surgery and the surgeon spoke to me (again in very good English!) throughout the procedure which was very quick. Afterwards it was explained to me about taking my eye drops and medication and I was given protective glasses to wear and potential side effects. My eyes were a bit blurry afterwards and I just wanted to close them - it had been a long day so I made sure I had all the medication and went to sleep! I was booked in for a check up the next morning where I met the surgeon again who confirmed everything was a success and confirmed my eyes would continue to improve over the next 3 months. I could see so much better already! I was also given information on the procedure to take home with me along with further medication. The next day I did a tour to Ephesus which Sam patient services arranged and would recommend. The following day I returned home! It’s amazing the difference it has made already - my issue was distance and astigmatism. I would whole heartedly recommend Sam Patient Services and would contact them again if I wanted any further procedures. I felt reassured the whole time and anytime I needed to speak to my coordinator they were really responsive to my questions. I have not been paid for this review but believe that when good service is received it should be recognised.

From making an enquiry from the UK, I've always felt supported, all my questions were answered (even the silly ones!) Oğuz was amazing, always made me feel comfortable and kept me informed of what was going on and what was to happen going forward. I had 2 implants done, an extraction and a bone graft/sinus lift on my upper jaw at the back of my mouth. They first gave me an x-ray and then a consultation on the work that needed to be done. I was very surprised at how quickly and efficiently they were in completing the treatments I needed. Definitely value for money. I was very impressed with the place, very clean as expected and they were using all the up-to-date equipment on their customers. The whole procedure was done like clockwork from entering the building initially then to fill in certain paperwork, xrays, pictures taken, consultation, treatment and then given medication and be on your way. No sitting down waiting on certain things, you was literally in one thing and then moved onto the next stage (well impressed with their system) I was then back in a few days later for a precautionary check-up. Can't wait to be back in around 5 months' time for my new crowns. Accommodation by them was a nice hotel too. From Vahap the translator/customer coordinator explained the process step by step, to the doctors who were very professional in their work and anil the driver who transferred you to n from the airport, hotel and clinic I can't thank you all enough. I know I'd make the right choice going with the pearl clinic. See you in the summer.

Five stars for Dr. Çilem Bulut for giving me the best smile I ever had in my life. You cannot set a price on a Hollywood smile. It's priceless. I went for a full set of crowns. They feel like natural teeth. The treatment was very professional, accurate and painless. Dr. Çilem Bulut is not just any dentist but a mosaic artist as well and she managed to restore an old church in ruins, so to say. The dentists of the clinic support each other by casting their opinion on ongoing dental work, so you get a second and third opinion as well. Everything is smoothly coordinated with the technicians, so that you don't need spend more than a couple of days with temporary teeth. The technicians work super fast. The clinic has drivers to pick you up at the airport. The drivers pick you up at the hotel to take you to your appointment. You are looked after just like you were adopted. Your stay at a luxury hotel is included in the price. This clinic is absolutely top. There are even support animals at the clinic (a dog and a cat) to comfort patients. I now have a new dentist, Dr. Çilem Bulut and I will fly to Turkey again and again to make sure that she can do my check-ups.I had veneers before getting crowns and I've been through a lot when it comes to dental treatments. Forget about emergency scaffolding done by other dentists in several other countries. If I need dental treatment again, I go to Umut Dental Clinic. Thank you ever so much!

Having received an astronomical quote for 5 dental implants in London, I decided to look overseas and honed in on Istanbul. I emailed about 20 clinics for quotes. The vast majority wanted me to have implants and veneers throughout for a Hollywood smile that I did not want. The only dentist to phone and discuss my treatment was Mr Karabey. He seemed nice and his suggested treatment was sensible with no unnecessary work. The cost of the work was quoted at around £2200 rather than over £16000 at home. I took a chance. I made 2 visits, the first to have the remains of my teeth removed and the posts inserted and the second (it could have been 4 months later but I had to leave it longer) to have the crowns fitted. The first trip I had one appointment and was in Istanbul for 36 hours and on the second I had two appointments and stayed for 5 nights. I was very pleased with the outcome which used the same German dental implants that would be used in London. Mr Karabey's surgery is no different to those at home with modern equipment and the same approach. There was no problem with the language. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Karabey for implant work.

I had a neck and facelift, paid £6000. Best decision ever made. Fantastic communication, looked after from start to finish. Dr Celik is a very talented surgeon, I would recommend Catch Life 100%. The staff and nurses were very friendly and informative. Nice clean hospital, private ensuite room.

Been going here for a couple of years now. Dr. Soner is the best dentist I have ever been to. I am so happy with my new smile. You should contact the staff before your last decision.

On 11/29/23 Dr. Mehmed Ali Korkmaz had an operation... and what can I say... Just happy... I flew to Turkey without knowing exactly what I was getting myself into. I wanted to have the silicone implant out of my breast and have it tightened. The contact with Julia was perfect from the start. No question was too much for her and she was always there for you. That was the first reason why I flew. Shuttle service, hotel, support, and hospital couldn't have been better. Dr. Korkmaz himself was simply amazing. A patient, sensitive doctor who explained everything very well without any prompting and who didn't have questions too many. I still have swelling - it hasn't even been a week yet - it's getting better every day and I'm super happy. If something comes up again, I no longer have the question of where to have it done. Thanks again to the entire team. You are wonderful people.

Before to choose a clinic I checked so many of them and now I can tell you that I made a best decision to come to Perla Dental Centre. Outstanding communication with all of their team members from day one. Airport transfer, hotel, breakfast and transfer from hotel to dental clinic sometimes 2/3 times in one day( no long waiting hours). Top management. Don’t be afraid to come alone you will be in a good hands. Never experienced such a good and fast response to all my millions of questions from Orhan Madan. Dentists are very caring and accurate. Me and my husband come here for implants and zirconium crowns and my dentist didn’t finish his job until I was 100% satisfied. Highly recommend Perla Dental Centre. We going back home with huge thanks and satisfaction.
