We provide Speech Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychology/counseling services

Integrated Therapies:

CBC clients have our commitment to serve them, not just through individual sessions
with their clinician(s), but with a holistic clinical approach that gives each client access
to and support from any and all relevant disciplines.


Screening & Diagnosis:

Clinical interviews and standardized assessments are administered to provide “best
t” treatment and programs for our clients. Diagnostic evaluations help understand a
client’s individual profile 

Group Programs:

CBC oers a wide range of group programs targeting specific client interests and
needs, such as Pre-Vocational & Vocational Programs, Social Skills Groups,
Socio-Emotional Programs, School Readiness and Day Programs, and Life Groups for
Teens & Adults.


Parent & School Involvement:

At CBC, we know that parents and schools are primary team players in a child and
adolescent’s daily life; To build strength as a community, we oer services such as:
educational trainings and workshops for parents and teachers, as well as program
development and consultations with schools and organizations.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA):

ABA is the science of understanding and modifying behavior and is commonly used
with challenges such as: non-compliance, aggression, tantrums, autism,
hyperactivity, and self-injurious behavior.


Speech & Language Therapy:

Proper assessment and intervention from our Speech & Language Pathologists help
individuals with a wide range of communication challenges such as: Speech &
Language delays, Pragmatic Disorders, Articulation Disorders, Phonological
Disorders, Stuttering, and Cluttering.


Occupational Therapy (OT):

Occupational Therapists assess and treat individuals who benefit from skill-building
in areas such as: coordination, gross motor, fine motor, visual motor, sensory
integration, self-help, food aversion, and other daily living and coping skills.


Psychology/Counseling:

Mental health clinicians aim to improve well-being and support success for
individuals and/or groups needing to maximize personal growth, or address more
specific concerns, such as: anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment problems,
relationship challenges, or family conflict.

Biography:

Dr. Jessica RiosHabib, a licensed psychologist in DHCC since 2010, serves as CBC’s Clinical Director. As a clinician, Dr. Jessica’s core values have consistently demonstrated her commitment to ethics, research based practice, and serving in the best interest of the client. Dr. Jessica believes in leadership that similarly carries these values, maximizing growth, development, and well-being for clients as well as for our CBC team.

Her role at CBC reflects our company’s vision to collaboratively work together as clinicians, teachers, parents, and students in order to improve and achieve new successes every day. Dr. Jessica earned her BS in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA), and her Masters and PhD from the University of Miami, Florida (USA) in Mental Health Counseling and Psychology. Dr. Jessica is a wife and mother of two boys, and enjoys reading, sports, and family beach days.

Biography:

Ms. Anna White serves as an Occupational Therapist (OT) at CBC. She began her OT work in Ireland, at a center for independent living for adults with physical and sensory dis-abilities. Involved in both clinical and management work of the center, Ms. Anna gained experience in treating clients with various diagnoses, such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, visual impairments, auditory impairments, intellectually disability, and acquired brain injury.

Moving to Dubai in 2014, Ms. Anna worked at a center for autism spectrum disorders where she directed an accredited vocational program, for groups and individuals, that focused on the development of life skills, social skills, self-determination, and employment skills. Ms. Anna earned her BS in Occupational Therapy from Trinity College Dublin, and is currently completing her post-graduate education in Sensory Inte-gration through UK’s Sensory Integration Network to further her specialization in early in-tervention methods. Anna has a passion for promoting health and wellbeing, hence, she aims to embody an active and balanced personal lifestyle.

Biography:

Ms. Tatiana Moraes, a clinician passionate about helping children communicate and fully develop to their potential, serves as CBC’s Senior Speech & Language Pathologist. Her journey in speech and language therapy began in 2001 when she graduated with a degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at the Medical School of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

She proceeded to obtain her MSc in European Masters Clinical Linguistics from the University of Postam in Germany, and her MA in General Linguistics from the University of Groningen in Netherlands by 2007. Continuing her journey to the Middle East, Ms. Tatiana has been committed to providing evidence-based therapeutic programs and raising awareness about communication disorders in Dubai since 2009. Outside of work, Ms. Tatiana enjoys pilates and photography.
