s a fully qualified Counselor/ Psychotherapist.
Having originally trained and worked in the Arts, Ronan's other primary interests have been self awareness and self development, which he has actively and consistently pursued for over 20 years. This personal interest led him to formally train as a Counselor/Psychotherapist at PCI College Dublin. Ronan adheres to the principles and guidelines of IACP of which he is a member. Ronan has previously worked at St Catherine's Counselling Service, Tallagh, and is currently working at the Student Counselling Services NUIG, Galway. Client issues that Ronan has worked with include; Bereavement, Anxiety/Depression, Trauma/Sexual abuse, Family Systems, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, substance misuse, sexuality issues, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions. As part of IACP professional requirements for ongoing continued professional development, Ronan has participated in Suicide prevention training and recovery from Sexual violence/trauma training.
