CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Counselling is when a Counsellor sees a client in a private and confidential setting. The counsellor enables the client to explore a difficulty or distress they may be experiencing through non-judgemental discussion. The client may be facing a specific issue such as stress or depression, or they may have just reached a point in their life where they are concerned about a lack or purpose or direction.
By helping the client discuss and define their difficulties, the counsellor will help the client find a solution to their distress. The counsellor will help the client to understand what is causing their issue and will help the client develop the coping mechanisms to deal with it.
All of our therapists offer ‘distance therapy’. Distance therapy is where you engage with your therapist over the phone or through video chat (via a platform like Skype). The choice of how you want to engage with your therapist is up to you. We work to make sure that they accommodate your preferences.
Distance therapy ensures that you get access to the best and most suitable counsellor (who may not work in your area) while also ensuring that therapy is convenient for you. You can schedule your sessions during the day or after work. Distance therapy is clinically proven to be as effective as face-to-face therapy and our counsellors are expert in its delivery.
