Hello and welcome to Adolessence. Adolessence: This service is open to adolescents, emerging adults and parents/ caregivers. The work focuses on the many issues facing and challenging adolescents and families today. Adolescent development is a  wonderful yet challenging time of life that can be marked by heightened anxiety, fear and stress. Focusing on you the young person we navigate a way forward so you can understand your development your strengths and your limitations. Working with young adults  offers the opportunity to consider choices, deal with overhwhelm and move forward into the life you want. Parental consultation helps to make sense of your parenting style and the support you may need to understand and parent your adolescent with skill and energy If you feel like you need support at this time please contact Gina for an appointment or discussion regarding the service offered. All enquires will be answered within 24 hours. All enquiries are dealt with confidentially. Psychotherapy may be short or long term depending on your needs. A full initial assessment allows you to ask as many questions as needed and decide if therapy is for you at this time. Each situation is different and the approach offered is tailored to your needs. Individuals and families are supported through what ever issue or crises presents. I have a BA in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work in an integrative way and use different counselling styles and modalities in my practice depending on the client's individual needs. Clients experiencing difficulties with anxiety, stress, depression, grief, sexuality issues, relationship difficulties etc can benefit from counselling.  I also work with children from the age of 12 and adolescents. Children and adolescents can present with anxiety and identity issues as well as other difficulties. When I work with minors I will have an initial intake session with the parents and will continue to involve the parents in the process and will meet regularly with them.
