About The Therapy Centre

My name is Laura Branigan-Bayoumi and I hold an honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School and am a fully accredited member of the I.A.C.P.  I work from a humanistic and integrative approach, which means that I draw on various humanistic, psychodynamic and solution focused theories in order to  explore the difficulties you are facing, increase your self-awareness and  provide you with support.

As a humanistic Psychotherapist I respect  each individual's ability to make their own decisions. My work with you will not be about giving advice or deciding what is best for you. Instead, through discussion and exploration, I will work with you to help you clarify your own beliefs, values and priorities, so you can reach your own decisions on what is best for you.

We will work together in order to truly understand your thoughts, emotions and behaviours, to deepen your level of self awareness, and to identify and work on breaking unhelpful patterns in your life. We will work towards empowering you, so that you are better able to manage and overcome whatever is holding you back from reaching  your goals and aspirations.

"I am forever grateful to have been counselled by her"

Treatment Received: Psychotherapist Consultation
Having seen several therapists due to severe anxiety and several bouts of depression, I can confidently say that Laura has been the most compassionate and sincere of them all.

She offered me a safe haven and always handled my worries and problems with an unbiased and non-judgemental approach. Laura has played a huge part in strengthening my confidence and self-esteem.

I can honestly say that without her I wouldn't have got through a testing time. Laura was full of patience, kindness and encouragement, and I am forever grateful to have been counselled by her.

Treatment Received: Anger Management
I came to Laura because of anger issues and she helped me not only on how to manage my anger but also to find the cause of it.
Throughout our sessions she was superb and she got me to feel safe and secure so I could open up and tell my story.

Central and easy to get to.
The rooms are brightly decorated and I felt at ease when I came in.

"Great experience."

I find Laura very easy to talk to and open up to. She's a great listener and not a bit judgmental. It wasn't an easy thing to admit to myself that I needed help, but I wish I had done it ages ago. She's very understanding and worked with me to help me through my dark time. I've since come through it but continue seeing Laura, as it's great to know that she is there. The clinic is in an ideal location for me and easily accessible.

Great location, as I am also based close to the city center. Relaxing atmosphere.

"She is helping me feel like myself again."
5 50Reviewed 12 Jan 2016 Review verified by phone.
Treatment Received: Anxiety - Alternative Treatment,Treatment for Depression,Counselling
I started seeing Laura because of my anxiety issues, depression, and panic disorder. This was not my first time seeking help, but the time spent with Laura is by far the most relaxing and productive. Rather than working for me, Laura works with me to help me better understand myself and my actions. She is helping me feel like myself again. She is an incredibly kind person with the ability to make me feel not only that she is listening, but that she truly understands.

I have been seeing Laura since August, and I have no intention of stopping any time soon. She makes me feel comfortable and safe. I can be myself, I never feel judged even when I say the most frivolous things. Laura is welcoming, supportive, and a warm person, and at the same time very professional. She seems to really care for her clients, and she takes that one extra mile in order to help us. The clinic is neatly located in the center of the city and very easy to get to.

"I had no idea what a weight could be lifted by just talking."
5 50Reviewed 08 Jan 2016 Review verified by phone and email.
Treatment Received: Anxiety - Alternative Treatment
I had been considering talking to someone for a while about anxiety issues, but never felt the time was right. Really, I had been putting it off. I had been given Laura's name by a friend, and so one day, I just decided to brave it and go, and I am so glad that I did. I had no idea what a weight could be lifted by just talking things over to a skilled and non-judgemental listener.

Laura was incredibly understanding and compassionate, and I felt I could really open up to her. I felt like she was working with me rather than for me, and I was able to come away with some fantastic coping strategies. She helped me to set realistic goals for myself, and I think the fact that everything was approached with practicality in mind has helped me hugely to move forward. I cannot thank Laura enough for the help she has given me.

Treatment Received: Counselling
I was very apprehensive, as it was my first time going to counselling, but Laura was so approachable and kind. I have found our sessions to be really helpful and would highly recommend her as a therapist.

I liked Laura's website because she came across as warm and understanding. Also, the clinic is really accessible as it is in the city center. I also love Laura's treatment room; it's a very relaxing space.
