"I have more than 20 enjoyable years in General Practice having first studied philosophy, politics and economics at university. Apart from being the clinical lead for diabetes in the Practice, I am also responsible for Practice Based commissioning and am Company Secretary for InsideVue Limited. My recreational interests include non-competitive sailing (when I have time!)".

Helen qualified from UCH medical school, London in 1988 and joined the practice in 1994. She has experience of working at the breast screening centre in Guildford and is a board member of the National Society of Epilepsy. Helen's particular interests include mental health, cardiology and womens health, she is also a director of InsideVue Limited. Helen has had four children and enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, cooking and playing bridge. Helen is an ardent campaigner to include chickenpox vaccination in the national immunisation programme and has written and broadcast on the subject with appearances on GMTV, Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live.

Hugh, the Senior partner, joined the Practice in 1981. He trained in Edinburgh and had an externship in Pittsburg, Pennsylvainia. After qualifying, he had jobs in Cardiology and general surgery before joining the Royal Navy where he spent time in North Norway, USA, Caribbean and later a secondment to the Army with the Commonwealth monitoring forces looking after the medical problems of two guerrila camps in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). After a range of speciality appointments, he entered General Practice. His medical interests include care of the elederly, chest medicine and cardiology. Hugh is a director of InsideVue Limited. Hugh is a keen middle distance runner.

"After qualifying as a doctor, the majority of my tutor training was at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. During this time I worked as a doctor in A&E, ENT, cancer services, general medicine, geriatrics, paediatrics and obstetrics & gynaecology - literally from the cradle to the grave! I am a director of InsideVue Limited. I am married and have a teenage daughter, my family is very important to me. I try to keep reasonably fit by playing tennis and going to the gym - which I surprised myself by actually enjoying. Unfortunately I do enjoy a little retail therapy as well!"
