About Fionnula MacLiam & Associates

We provide CBT - cognitive behavioural psychotherapy - an evidence-based psychotherapy which has been shown to be effective in the treatment of depression and anxiety.  Specifically, we treat PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - includes Checking, Washing, Rumination, Doubting, Scrupulosity), GAD (generalised anxiety disorder), Panic, Agoraphobia, Social Phobia, Simple Phobias such as fear of spiders or heights, Depression, Low Self-Esteem, Stress, Health Anxiety and other disorders and mental health problems.  We do this in a collaborative and supportive way, and help the person to understand themselves and their reactions, so that they can overcome their problems.

Biography:
Fionnula MacLiam qualified as a CBT therapist from the University of London in 1990. She has worked clinically as a CBT therapist since then. She has also taught in a variety of settings and at third level, most recently as a Lecturer on the Trinity College Dublin CBT course. To contact Fionnula directly.
