Physiotherapist Biography:
Lewis studied Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne (Australia), graduating with a B.Physio (Hons) degree in 1999.
He has worked in the NHS and private practice specialising in the management of musculoskeletal disorders before moving in to providing full time physiotherapy support for professional footballers. Lewis spent 7 years in professional football, initially as head physiotherapist at Leyton Orient FC before moving on to Arsenal where he worked with the Reserve team and U18’s squad, helping them to progress.
Lewis completed his Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine in 2011, studying at Queen Mary, University of London which further enhanced his knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries. He has since returned to the course as a guest lecturer and maintains good links with the University.
Lewis has spent the last 3 years working in private practice in Australia and the London Independent Hospital with a variety of experienced physiotherapists and other health professionals, getting further experience with the treatment of sports and post-operative conditions.
Lewis believes passionately in the benefits of exercise, including hydrotherapy and is committed to helping clients to achieve their goals.
