Biography:
Pauline graduated with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ulster in 1991. She then did a Doctorate in Psychology graduating in 1995. During her Doctorate years she established “The Clinic” and practiced physiotherapy on a part time basis. After a short spell of lecturing in the University of Ulster , she went onto full time physiotherapy in private practice in 1996. Pauline has 16 years working as chartered physiotherapist. During this time she has developed particular interest and expertise in the treatment of back, neck and shoulder pain. More specifically she has expertise in the management of pain that is recurrent or prolonged in nature. Her interest in chronic pain disorder began as an undergraduate student of physiotherapy leading to more in depth study while reading for her Doctorate. Over the past 16 years of clinical practice, her professional and academic development has concentrated on chronic pain disorder. She is currently studying for Human Givens Diploma in Psychotherapy. As the Practice Principal of “The Clinic” since 1991, Pauline has had responsibility for the standards of physiotherapy service delivered by “The Clinic” to its patients. These standards are set and maintained by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (OCPPP) and the Health Professions Council (HPC). Pauline is an active member of all three professional bodies and following formal training with these organisations has set up policies and procedures to ensure that best practice is maintained in “The Clinic”. She is also a registered member of PhysioFirst. Over the past decade “The Clinic” has provided physiotherapy services in the occupational health setting. Pauline manages a team of physiotherapists from “The Clinic” who provide physiotherapy to several large employers in Northern Ireland . She is currently a member of the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health (OCPOHE).

Caroline Esler

Biography:
Caroline graduated with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Teesside in 1998. She started her career in Aberdeen where she completed junior rotations around the different specialities in the hospital. Caroline then travelled around New Zealand and Australia for 18 months where she worked as a physiotherapist in several healthcare settings. Caroline has worked in various departments and specialities in England before returning to Belfast in January 2005 when she started working at “The Clinic”. She has completed several courses in occupational health, acupuncture, core biomechanics and treatment of spinal conditions. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE) and in Acupuncture (AACP). Caroline's main interest is working with patients with chronic pain and started in this area when she worked for the Nottingham pain team. She is currently studying part time for a Masters Degree in Pain Management from Edinburgh University.

Peter Morrison

Biography:
Peter graduated with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ulster in 2002. He then joined a sports injury clinic in Cork where he worked for a year treating various injuries resulting from sports, trauma and repetitive strain. Further, he provided physiotherapy for the local gaelic football, hurling, rugby and soccer teams. In 2003 he started working in “The Clinic” where he specialised in the treatment of sports injuries. Over the past four years he has been team physiotherapist for the County Antrim Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) treating footballers and hurlers. During this time he has also worked with various local teams and clubs including running, squash, soccer, rugby, hockey and cycling. Peter specialises in sports physiotherapy. He has a particular interest in biomechanics, exercise and rehabilitation. He is a committee member for the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM) and is actively involved in the organisation of regional courses. Peter is also a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (OCPPP).
