About Rosier Physio & Movement Studio

The Rosier Physio & Movement Studio offers bespoke physiotherapy, expert physio led sports massage with strength and conditioning if required. 

Our overall goal is to remove pain and restore pain free movement so life can be enjoyed as much as possible.

With dedicated treatment rooms in Newbury and Donnington there is a choice of where you want to be treated and when. Same day appointments (early morning and evening) and weekend appointments are available upon request allowing you good reliable access to my services. I also share a commitment to provide a consistently expert, effective and results-driven service.

I pride myself on the after-care I provide which means you can contact me anytime to talk about your particular issues and I regularly arrange a 1 month follow up to make sure you are okay.  

And in partnership with other specialists - Orthopaedic Consultants, Personal Trainers, Podiatrists, Talking therapists etc, I offer a totally integrated approach to wellbeing, and a circle of care that's very different to the conventional model.

The Rosier Physio and Movement Studio is the first clinic in Newbury and Thatcham to be a member of YourPhysioPlan which provides affordable monthly plans for physiotherapy and sports massage. Another first for Newbury and Thatcham is the use of motion sensor technology -ViMOve - which is at the forefront of movement analysis and management which highlights the fact that we are your local forward thinking and progressive physiotherapy clinic.

If you are very busy and haven't the time to travel then a home visit may be the best stress free option for you. 


Tom will come to your house (if its under 15 miles from the clinic) and can set up a mobile clinic. Appointments are usually 30-60 minutes long

Initial Physiotherapist Consultation (1 hour)

Physiotherapy is used to assess and treat a large range of injuries, syndromes and conditions. I use manual therapy as the main intervention to treat and cure your problem alongside a comprehensive free home management programme for you to take home and do which will speed up your recovery. 

 

Home physiotherapy is another great time saving and stress free option which may suit your busy lifestyle.

Follow up Physiotherapy  (30 mins)

During your follow up session you will be asked how you have been since the first session, re-assessed and given further treatment if required. If you require referral to an MRI unit or another specialist then that can be arranged.

Biography:

Physiotherapy is my passion and I strive to help people overcome injury so that they can return to a normal pain free life. I have first hand experience with a debilitating injury (Webber C fracture dislocation of the ankle - leaving my foot pointing in the opposite direction - yes was really painful) which left me immobile, in pain and also with a huge amount of frustration for 5 months. So as well as having the qualifications I can empathise with the pain and frustration you may be experiencing. 

I hold a degree in Sports Therapy BSc and am a  further Masters degree in Physiotherapy (MSc) and have worked alongside many sports teams and have 3 years experience within the within the NHS specialising in musculo-skeletal physiotherapy. I currently lead physiotherapy services at The West Berkshire Therapy Centre in Thatcham three days a week which is extremely rewarding.  I enjoy rugby and have played for a number of clubs and universities at 1st XV level.

My greatest sporting acheivement was competing in the National indoor 60 metres indoor championship. Being a sporting chap and having suffered many injuries I know how you may be feeling and will use my clinical knowledge, personal experience and the latest research to help you through your injury.
