My name is John and I trained for five years at the world-famous British School of Osteopathy where I was awarded a Master’s in Osteopathy. I gained a wealth of experience treating sports people with muscle strains, office and construction workers with neck and back pain and the elderly with age-related conditions. I hold a diploma in sports massage from the London School of sports massage which I include in my treatments along with dry needling if necessary. I also like to include a special relaxation technique during my treatments which helps people destress and improve their mood. Treating sports people comes naturally to me. Having come from a strong sporting background I represented Longford in GAA at county level from schoolboy up to the inter-county senior panel. I also played Basketball at the National league level. I like to relax by meditating and like to practice what I preach by keeping a good diet and maintaining fitness levels through walking and swimming. I am passionate about my profession and treat a range of issues including back pain, neck pain, shoulder hip and knee pain. Helping patients return to what they enjoy doing is my goal and I thoroughly enjoy the process of guiding and advising each patient along their journey to recovery. A full comprehensive assessment,treatment and rehabilitation program is provided and sessions usually last for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.Peter has been in practice at the clinic since 1995 and has vast experience in assessing and  treating all types of soft tissue and structural problems that can affect the human body. Apart from his physiotherapy practice, he has worked with GAA and Rugby clubs.His main approach to assessing and treating problems is with Manual Therapy.A hands on approach which involves specific manual techniques for straight forward and more complex problems that may occur.State of the art equipment and facilities are incorporated at the clinic to treat every condition.Conditions treated at the clinic include orthopaedic conditions, soft tissue injuries, overuse injuries, neurological injuries like nerve damage and strokes, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis,sports injuries and orthotic prescriptions/insoles. I am a professionally qualified Sport & Remedial Massage Therapist, and a full member of the Irish Massage Therapist Association (I.M.T.A). Having qualified with a Diploma in Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy from National School For Remedial Therapy (N.S.R.T). My interest for sport & remedial massage therapy started following injury after injury from competing in multiple sports. I have suffered many of the injuries associated to each discipline & can relate to people with their injuries when they attend my clinic for differential diagnosis & injury treatment.
