A popular and relaxing treatment often called Hopi Ear Candling because the oldest recorded use of ear candles, probably during initiation and healing ceremonies, is by the Hopi Pueblo Native American tribe. The hollow candles are made from natural materials such as cotton, beeswax and honey. The lit candle creates a chimney effect causing a light vibration which has a massaging effect on the ear canal and ear drum. This also helps to balance any pressure in the sinus cavities.
