I found Dr Mantse on What Clinic. I spoke to Dr Mantse personally on the phone, who answered all my questions. I had 3000 FU (grafts) from Dr Mantse years back who informed me that I would continue to lose hair in different areas. In 2024 I returned for another 3000 grafts, I am extremely happy and am now waiting for my hair to grow.

I found Dr Mantse back in 2015 after many weeks of researching clinics around Europe, I decided flying to Budapest for my transplant was the best choice. To say I was satisfied with my results would be an understatement!! Every barber I went to since couldn’t believe I had a transplant, they said they get many men in for hair cuts that have had transplants and it’s usually very obvious, but with mine you would never know.

After a number of years, I felt I wanted professional advice on whether or not I needed a second procedure, so I went to a very reputable clinic in Ireland for advice. At this consultation there was 2 Dr’s from Greece at the clinic for the weekend doing procedures, they both came to review my hair and asked who done my previous transplant, they told me the work was exceptionally good, this I already knew but hearing it from the professionals confirmed it.

Dr Mantse is genuinely in a league of his own, he is so invested in his work and wants the very best results possible, he is meticulous.

From the first point of contact right through to treatment, you are made to feel very comfortable, informed and relaxed.

When I returned after my last treatment, months had passed and Dr Mantse reached out to ask how I was, and to check in on the results.

I am back in Budapest now just finished my second procedure and I am so happy with how it went.

I have friends who have gone to many clinics around Europe and weren’t 100% happy with either their experience or their results.

If your thinking of having a transplant and unsure of who or what is best, I would strongly recommend coming to Dr Mantse to achieve the best results.

I decided to go with Dr Mantse and never had any regrets. There were no third party intermediaries and I got to talk to the Dr himself regarding the work that had to be done and now that's completed. Dr Tamas Mantse is a master of his craft and unquestionably is one of the best hair transplant doctors in the world. I was a Norwood 6 and now its completed you would have not known I got a transplant due to the natural finish, Dr Mantse has given my hair line . Dr Tamas Mantse literally changed my life. If you are considering this surgery, it is honestly the best investment you will ever make. My hairline receded very far back, and it was really bringing down my confidence. I work as a barber, and over the last 10 years working with hair has really made me self conscious about my hairline.

Dr. Thomas Mantse is an independent, highly professional craftsman/artist who comes from a family of hair transplant surgeons. He has several decades worth of experience, and he learned the trade from his father.

In this world, where there are all sorts of dubious hair clinics popping up all over the place, Dr. Thomas' clinic is like finding a rare treasure.

You'll be impressed by his professionalism and the passion this man has for his work - my hair transplant was a bit challenging due to curved hair in the root, but according to him, this was simply "interesting and challenging"

After 6 months I'm very satisfied with my hair transplant & looking forward to continuing our project somewhere in the near future.

Having very recently returned to the UK from Budapest after receiving an FUE hair Transplant from Dr Mantse and I can honestly say I could not have been happier with the whole experience. Thomas is a highly skilled and passionate practitioner and not only this he is a very nice and warm Man. Having worked in the health care field for many years I can assure you this is not always the case! His clinic is great and he sorted everything from start to finish, the hotel was near to the clinic and very comfortable. The procedure was over 2 days with 1000 FUE grafts extracted and implanted over each of these days. I was made to feel comfortable throughout and Dr Mantse explained everything throughout and chatted easily which was very reassuring. One of the most important aspects is that he performs the whole procedure himself (his lovely, qualified wife does assists with the extraction), they chatted away in Hungarian and I almost fell asleep a few times as it was so relaxing listening to them, but apart from that Thomas works to the highest standards and completes all aspects of the transplant and is very precise.

Following the procedure I felt virtually no discomfort and did not have any swelling at all, I even ventured out to a large mall near to the hotel both evenings after the procedures. As I had the “no look HT” I can confirm that this is just as advertised. You can hardly see the graft site at the front under my existing hair and I’m sure in a week or so the back will be very hard to see. My hair at the back is not that thick so if yours is it will be completely invisible immediately following the procedure. This is a further testament to the skill of Dr Thomas!

If you are looking to get a Hair Transplant at half the cost but with twice the results of U.K clinics look no further. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Thomas and if need be will return again!

In February 2017 I had a two day treatment for 2500 grafts at Thomas. I came from The Netherlands to Budapest. I strongly recommend Thomas. He is super skilled and precise. Each day he took 1250 grafts in the morning and in the afternoon planted them on my head. He does everything by hand and prepares you good, because had to take pre operation medicine against infections and pain. The pain is 0.0 percent. Only when adding the sedation you can feel a few times the injection needle, but this goes away direct, because your head gets sedated straight away. So this is really nothing. The whole procedure is painless.

After a year I have super growth. Can provide pictures on request. I advise to ask beforehand the pre opp instructions by mail so you can prepare good before. I am super happy with the result and if needed I would go back again. I strongly recommend Thomas. A lot of hair came back after 1 year. Super job and super doctor.

Beforehand I walked in with my T-shirt which I was wearing. He sent me out straight away. This indicates how serious he takes the quality and hygienic of his clinic. Had to put on special operating clothes and wasn’t allowed to wear normal clothes. His clinic is super sterile and it looks great! Very modern and great place to have this operation.

I have now had two procedures with Dr. Mantse at Prohair and I can recommend him. I started the process as a Norwood 7. Dr. Mantse used his skill and experience to give me the hairline I wanted.

He is very dedicated to his patients and it shows with the results.

One week after having my FUE transplant done by Thomas Mantse. Everything is looking good, the hair is growing from both doner area and transplanted area. The surgery itself took 2 full days transplanting 2500 hairs, it was a little uncomfortable at times, especially getting the injections to numb the doner & receiver areas but I was told that was to be expected, it was quite painful at times but I couldn't feel a thing once the anesthetic kicked in after a few minutes. I was able to watch movies when Thomas was planting the hairs and was relaxed. Thomas was helpful, friendly and answered all questions I asked. His assistant was very friendly also. My head was shaved so it is very noticeable that I have had work done so I would recommend the no look transplant if that will be a problem for you.

I would recommend Thomas for the FUE transplant, prices are good and negotiable. The hotel I was put up in was pleasant and the results one week after the transplant looks good.

I have just returned from having the "No look Hair Transplant" with Dr Tamas Mantse and wow, i am so impressed! I, like others always wondered about reviews on here and worried if they were genuine or not but take my word for it, I took a chance(so to speak) with this clinic and I am now so so glad I did!! I chose Dr Mantse because of his experience, online reviews of course and the fact that he personally deals with everything from the initial online contact, arranging the hotel/chauffer and carrying out the op from extracting hairs to in planting them too and with amazing care I must say! I can't speak for other clinics but all I can say is if anyone is thinking to go to Hungary for a Ht then I SO highly recommend Dr Mantse to you.I was also provided with other genuine previous customers by him. I too am a genuine guy that just bit the bullet and went with him and I'm so glad I did. It is a bit painful in places, afterall it is an op! but it's bearable and you are always made to feel comfortable. Believe me, YOU ARE IN THE BEST HANDS HERE! He is so meticulous with his work and ur scalp is left looking clean and tidy afterwards. My head since the op yesterday feels fine with only a very minor pain feeling, hardly anything. Oh one last thing, anyone worried about paying a deposit beforehand? don't! I paid mine a few months beforehand and I even paid the remaining balance before he started work on the day of the op- He doesn't take your money and run, he took my money and from 7.30am-9.30pm he put every ounce of his time and effort to do the best job I could hope for.

I had my FUE procedure with Dr. Thomas Mantse in May 2014 at his clinic in Budapest. I had a very positive experience. Dr. Mantse was quite skilled and well informed. He was also reasonably nice. I feel that the best proof is in the results. The transplanted hair was placed in a very skilled way, and it grew in faster than I would have expected. It looks great after two and a half years, and I am very happy that I did it. My older children have remarked repeatedly how much younger it has made me appear.

The procedure I had was what Dr. Mantse calls a "No Look" Hair Transplant (NLHT), in which he harvests hair from the back of the head without the need to completely shave the back of the head. (Other clinicians may refer to a similar procedure as Unshaven Hair Transplant, or U-FUE.)

I chose Dr. Mantse because he does not insist on shaving the back of your head. The fact that he does not shave the back of your head makes the recovery relatively fast. I had to wear a hat for a week or so, and then after that you really had to look closely at the top of my forehead to see the surgery results. Now you cannot tell that I had surgery at all. The hair looks perfectly normal and absolutely wonderful.

Dr. Mantse was great during the procedure. He explained everything as he went along. He always answered my questions. During the morning and early afternoon, I was face down on a massage table, so there was a cutout for my face. I kept my eyes closed and tried to relax. Dr. Mantse's wife was there also as an assistant in the morning. She was also very nice and very professional. He also had a local plastic surgeon come and assist in the morning, just to speed the procedure even more, which was fine with me. (Removing the plugs takes less skill than the artistry required to implant the plugs correctly.) They harvested about 2,000 grafts (FUEs).

In the late afternoon and evening, I was sitting upright, and he let me watch a movie(s) on his TV in the procedure room while he transplanted. He has a big selection of movies to watch. He sketched (with a washable pen) the area that he was going to fill with plugs and showed it to me. I agreed, and he began implanting. He insisted that only he do that part, because he is very picky about the aesthetics. I can see why afterwards, because it looks great. He really has an artist's touch when it comes to putting the plugs in the right place.

I was as relaxed and comfortable as anyone could be who is undergoing a minor surgical procedure. One thing that I would note is that the procedure is performed under a local anesthetic. I could feel nothing most of the time, but very rarely he would reach the edge of the anesthetic and I would start to feel it. I let him know immediately, and he would stop and apply more anesthetic.

I highly recommend Dr. Thomas Mantse for an FUE procedure without the back of the head being shaved.
