Fantastic experience from start to finish at Nadezhda hospital. We felt in very safe hands with Dr Stamenov. His calm mannered, friendly and expert approach made us feel at ease and we had every confidence in him. We travelled from the UK after previously undergoing fertility treatment in a UK clinic without success. The treatment and experience we received at Nadezhda hospital were far superior. One of the main differences we found was that we saw Dr Stamenov at every appointment. During the stimulation phase, we regularly attended the clinic so he could perform scans and amend medication where necessary. He also carried out egg collections and embryo transfers. He is so passionate and you really feel that he genuinely cares. In our eyes, he is a miracle worker! Our treatment was facilitated by Iva and colleagues from Medspa. We can’t sing their praises enough, they were highly professional, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. We are a same-sex couple in our early 40’s so both decided to have IVF treatment at the same time using donor sperm from the hospital. Amazingly we both became pregnant first time after frozen embryo transfer. Sadly one of us miscarried, however, we are now proud parents of a beautiful baby boy and we have frozen embryos stored at the clinic for future use. We found travelling to and from Sofia relatively easy, we treated each visit as a bit of a holiday and enjoyed taking in the sights and local food. Everything was excellent value for money. After a long time spent researching clinics abroad, we are so glad that we decided to use Nadezhda hospital and Medspa. My journey with Dr Kassab started 18 yrs ago! Since then, I trust everything he tells me on any level. I always knew that the service you get at his clinic is nowhere to be found & life proved it to me when I had to go to someone else after moving out of Lebanon while pregnant with my 3rd kid. Luckily, I had the chance to experience the sweetness of pregnancy process twice with Dr Kassab, from his very detailed explanations to the highly sophisticated equipment he uses, to the in-clinic lab he has, which spares you the struggle of doing the tests anywhere else. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about my experience with the new gynaecologist who barely talked to me or replied to any of my questions without sarcasm, also didn't bother to tell me anything about the baby's health & status. I left assuming everything was fine not to mention that I couldn't see anything on the monitor while she was doing the echo because the image was bad. Anyway, she requested a detailed scan, which to my surprise is done by another dr. at another clinic! Not to mention that the visit cost a big amount of money, knowing that the dr. opted not to charge the echo fees! (God knows how much we would have paid if she didn't). On a side note, this dr. was highly recommended by 4 or 5 of our friends we had to wait for 3 weeks to get the appointment. We wanted to share our experience with you in case you are considering fertility treatments. We were initially hesitant to try fertility treatments because we were worried about the cost and the success rate. However, we decided to go for it after doing our research and talking to other couples who had used the clinic. We are so glad that we did! The LIV Fertility Center was amazing from start to finish. The staff was friendly and supportive, and the doctors were very knowledgeable and experienced. We had a positive experience with the clinic, and we were thrilled to find out that we were pregnant. Everything at Next Generation Clinic in St Petersburg was incredibly organised, clean and the hygiene procedures for the transfer room were stricter than any I had seen in my home country. Drs Diana Lobzeva and Valentina Denisova were wonderful and explained everything I needed to know, and answered all of my many questions. That gave me a great deal of comfort as I was very anxious, having suffered pregnancy losses in the past and having been through 11 unsuccessful IVF attempts in Australia with my own eggs. Nurse Ksenia was a joy too and Aleksandr was fantastic. Their command of English is perfect. I went to NGC because it was very important to me to be able to choose the donor myself. I wanted to see photographs. I did not want to entrust the selection to someone else, as happens in many EU countries. The clinic staff will help with selection - but only if that is what you want as a patient. It was also absolutely imperative for me that the egg and sperm donors were non-anonymous and that was possible with NGC and in many other places it is not. Communication was clear and always very prompt, and every staff member was a delight to deal with, even the security guard who took my temperature (COVID protocols...) as I entered the building! I was very happy with the clinic. On top of all that, St Petersburg is absolutely beautiful and a wonderful place to visit. Most important of all, I am now more than halfway through pregnancy with a baby who is kicking me day and night. It is a wonderful feeling, especially because I was so tired of the disappointment of failed cycles and had reached a point where I was ready to give up on my dream of being a mum. This was my last hope. Now, in a few months, I will hold my little boy.
