AI - Artificial Insemination

Artificial insemination is a reproduction treatment that involves the introduction of sperm in ways that are not natural in the reproductive tract of the woman with the aim of obtaining a pregnancy. To do this, the patient must have the ability to ovulate spontaneously or through treatment, and  have at least one functioning Fallopian tube. According to the case, the treatment may be carried out with the semen of the partner or a donor.

Focusing on Conjugal artificial insemination, with the partner's semen, the most  commonly used method is intrauterine insemination, which is often combined with the use of medication that stimulates the development of ovarian follicles.

The process of artificial insemination with a donor is the same as conjugal artificial insemination, just that in this case and on the basis of previously determined grounds, the semen of the donor is used to obtain pregnancy.

Egg Donation

Egg Freezing

The goal of preservation of fertility treatment is pregnancy, not immediately but later in the future.

This can be the best option if a woman does not wish to give up on having children but wants to postpone motherhood, or in cancer cases where chemotherapy or radiation therapy must be applied. In these cases, preservation of fertility treatment would be carried out before treatment.

One of the methods for this is freezing your eggs. This treatment involves a cycle of ovarian stimulation in order to retrieve eggs that are then frozen by a specific technique called vitrification, to then be used further down the line.

Embryo Donation

Embryo Freezing

Vitrification is a technique by which tissues or cells are frozen in order to be used in the future.

Vitrification is used to preserve these samples so that they can be used in the future, either by the patient herself or the couple themselves, or so that they can be donated. In other words, the resulting embryos after an in vitro fertilisation cycle can be stored in case the patient wishes to become pregnant in the future, be donated to other women or couples, or they can be donated for research. Vitrification is used to guarantee the appropriate preservation of these embryos.

ICSI - Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is an assisted reproduction technique used in in vitro fertilisation (IVF)

treatment by which one sperm is injected directly into an oocyte to fertilise it while improving the patient’s possibilities of becoming pregnant.

ICSI is mostly used in cases of male infertility caused by low sperm count or motility. This technique is also indicated when the semen sample was vitrified

before its use.

IUI - Intrauterine Insemination

Artificial insemination is a reproduction treatment that involves the introduction of sperm in ways that are not natural in the reproductive tract of the woman with the aim of obtaining a pregnancy. To do this, the patient must have the ability to ovulate spontaneously or through treatment, and  have at least one functioning Fallopian tube. IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

In vitro fertilization is a technique that allows  an egg to fertilize with sperm outside the uterus for the subsequent implantation of the embryos into the uterus. This treatment offers greater guarantees of success than artificial insemination. However, the procedure is somewhat more complex.

IVF treatment is performed to get the maximum possibilities of pregnancy to very different causes of infertility, male or female such as the following:

  • Older maternal age
  • Blocked or damaged Fallopian tubes
  • Endometriosis
  • Infertility problems due to male factors
  • Unexplainable infertility

IVF with Donor Eggs

Egg donation is indicated for older women suffering from a primary ovarian insufficiency (also known as premature ovarian failure), from a premature or surgical menopause, or for those who are carriers of genetic disorders, have repeatedly undergone unsuccessful in vitro fertilisation cycles (IVF), or who have repeatedly experienced unexplained miscarriages.

It is a process in which a fertile woman offers her eggs to another woman for purposes of reproduction. Eggs are donated by women aged between 18 and 35 years old, or by young women undergoing assisted reproduction whose oocytes are redundant in their own treatment or who just wish to donate them.

It is a completely safe technique that is used to offer patients better chances of becoming pregnant when certain problems related to ovulation are present.

Shared Motherhood - ROPA technique

The ROPA method is one of the most innovative techniques and increasingly used today by couples of women who want to be mothers together. This technique emerges as an alternative to artificial insemination with a donor, which was the method used a few years ago for female homosexual couples.

The ROPA Method, also known as “shared maternity”, consists of carrying out an IVF/ICSI cycle in which the two women will be involved, one providing the eggs and the other woman, carrying in her womb the resulting embryo. In the first place, one of the women of the couple undergoes a stimulation and ovarian puncture from where we will obtain the eggs. On the same day of the egg retrieval, the eggs will be inseminated with the IVF or ICSI technique in assisted reproduction laboratories with a seminal donor sample. The embryos formed will be transferred to the uterus of the other woman of the couple, who will have carried a personalized endometrial preparation to guarantee implantation.

PGD - Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis

Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) and Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) are currently the only available options for not having a child with a genetic disorder or hereditary genetic disease when assisted reproduction treatment are concerned.

PGD is used to identify a series of genetic anomalies in embryos developed for in vitro fertilisation.

This technique is used specifically when one or both parents suffer a genetic anomaly. PGD allows the embryo to be analysed to determine whether it shares the same genetic anomaly.

2350 € - 3600 €

PGS - Preimplantation Genetic Screening

Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) and Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) are currently the only available options for not having a child with a genetic disorder or hereditary genetic disease when assisted reproduction treatment are concerned.

PGS is a genetic analysis of embryos carried out during in vitro fertilisation to detect possible anomalies related to the number of parent’s chromosomes (aneuploidy).

PGS makes it possible to select chromosomally normal embryos from all the resulting ones, ensuring the fetus does not suffer anomalies.
