Damian is a highly experienced optometrist with a range of academic and research experience who has maintained clinical practice throughout his career (spanning over 25years) working in both public and private practice.

Damian holds Doctor of Optometry degree from Abia State University and completed his Masters of Investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Science from the prestigious University of Manchester UK. In addition, Damian received a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Abuja, Nigeria in 2006. He has also attended several clinical and non-clinical courses including those in ocular health, behavioral optometry and administrative management. Currently he is a resident of the Post-graduate College of Optometrists and a member of various professional bodies including, College of Optometry in Vision Development, US; Optometry Extension Programme Foundation, US; Nigerian Opotmetric Association, Family of Optometry Mentors Vision Science Society (USA), Association of Optometrists in Public Service of Nigeria (AOPSN) and so on. He recently left the post of the President, Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA) where he left an indelible mark through his sound policies and programmes as the leader of the national body. He has occupied several other posts both in public, private service and professionally including member Public Health Committee and Children’s Vision Sub-committee of the World Council of Optometry (WCO). He has been extensively involved in intern and corps mentoring since 1999 and is actively involved in the continuing education of Optometrists nationwide. With this level of membership, interaction and leadership, he has introduced breath of fresh air to eyecare profession and service in Nigeria and globally.

Damian is a recipient of several awards including the Father of Interns Award, Professional Awards for Service Delivery, Fellow of NOA, Mentorship Award, African Patriotic Personality of the Year award from the League of African Development Students (LEADS Africa) and so on.

His clinical interests are in new skills and technologies for the early detection and management of glaucoma and other ocular diseases as well as in behavioral optometry. Damian loves evidence based clinical practice and patient care. He enjoys travelling.

Dr Obinwanne is the head of the Anterior Segment and Contact Lens department at De-lens. He is a clinician with special interests in Anterior segment diseases, Specialty contact lenses, and the Ocular surface. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Benin, Benin City. He also completed a Long-term Clinical Optometry fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment from the LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society, USA and is a global ambassador for the Tear Film Ocular Surface Society to Nigeria. Dr Obinwanne heads the Cornea and Anterior segment, Ocular surface disease and Specialty Contact Lens Services of the center. Dr. Obinwanne is also involved in clinical research and teaching as well as possessing a certificate in myopia control. He enjoys traveling, good food, and spending time with friends and family.

JV as people do call hails from Ideato North LGA of Imo State, a graduate of accounting from Imo State University, Owerri, a registered member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and a computer literate with series of training on networking and troubleshooting. JV is humble, easy going, and self-motivating individual, who loves to travel, sing, and meet people.

Johnvianney is currently the Head of Financial Administration.

Chinelo is proficient, highly motivated, friendly and hardworking individual with zeal to learn in order to grow, manage and improve her communication skills in customer relation. She is currently a student of Entrepreneurial and Business Management at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

Having worked as a customer relation officer for over 6years, she possesses excellent communication skills and has the ability and experience to relate effectively with the different customers/clients.

Chinelo loves singing.

From Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State, Christiana received her Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hospitality Management from Benue State Polytechnic. Christiana is gentle loving person who is ready to learn at any given Opportunity. She is the newest member of the team with zeal, enthusiasm and passion in delivering care to customers.

Mrs. Emile Nkeonyere Echendu is a graduate of University of Nigeria with English Honors and a Master Degree holder in Admin and Planning from Open University, Nigeria. She has been in public service for over 17 years, where she has gained a wealth of experience in a very wide range of fields. Her position as the Managing Director at De-Lens has been one of dedication and hard work for quality and effective service delivery at all times. She also heads the non-clinical department where she has brought her wealth of experience and impressive array of dynamic skills and strategies in uplifting patients care.

Optician Chukwuebuka (“Ebuka” for short) completed his Dispensing Optics course at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri Imo State. His passion for lens manufacturing led him acquiring more skills at INDEX-82 Industries where he gained more skills in optical lens surfacing.

Ebuka is fully licensed by the Optometrist and Dispensing Optician Board of Nigeria and a member of Association of Nigeria Dispensing Opticians (ANDO). Ebuka have eye for detail in optical dispensing and loves playing football and video games.
