About Nutrition Science

My clinic focuses on the Functional Medicine principles in achieving health and wellbeing.  Biochemistry, genetics, environmental impact and psychology are contributory factors to health.  These are all considered in the assessment and structuring of a lifestyle plan.  Practitioners are registered with BANT, regulated by CNHC and are fully insured.

Nutritional Counselling

Nutrition therapy uses the Functional Medicine approach which addresses the underlying causes of disease. This approach considers the diagnosis given by a doctor but also seeks to answer ‘Why does this person have this illness’? Family history, occupation, medical and health history, genetic makeup, lifestyle, stress levels, personalities and environmental exposures to toxins, travel history are considered. All these factors make nutritional requirements unique. Jenny specialises in health education and supporting patients with AutoImmune Diseases.
