I am a true anglophile having spent the better part of 17 years in the UK at one time or another.
I was born and raised in Northern Minnesota and my early days were spent on a farm. My military career as a medical corpsman took me all around the world including France, England, Germany, Iran, Turkey, and South East Asia. I left the US airforce a Captain and had qualified as a Physician Assistant.
Since then I have spent a number of years working in the American Federal Prison System, two years as house officer in a rehab hospital, and the rest by running a small surgery in the middle of a desert in Arizona. Along the way I acquired (and divorced) a wife, two children (girls), numerous dogs, cats, and horses, and my trusty transportation (a jeep).
When the opportunity to return to the UK for the forth time came up, I jumped at it. I now live in the stunning Georgian village of Woburn from which I spend my free time hill walking and travelling about the hills and dales of this beautiful country. I read a lot, enjoy eating (but hate cooking), love gardening, and am a fanatic for the outdoors in general.
My job at the Wootton Vale Healthy Living Centre will be to provide acute and chronic care and teach patients preventative medicine. My approach is a very holistic. I have a special interest in diabetes and dermatology and have written research papers in amongst other things the study of chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.
Having spent over 40 years in medicine, I bring a unique blend of training, experience, and personality to the team.
