Dr Tan and Partners @ Novena

Dr Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2001. His residency was in the two largest public hospitals in Singapore; Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Singapore General Hospital.He was part of the SARS taskforce in SGH and tended to ill patients with suspected SARS during the outbreak. He also worked and trained at the Singapore National Eye Center, National Heart Center and National Skin Center. After leaving the government service, he joined Thomson Medical Center to focus on Pediatric care, followed by a GP Group before setting up Robertson Medical Practice in 2005.Dr Tan keeps abreast of developments in the medical world and participates at international Medical Conferences. His professional medical opinion is frequently sought after and he has contributed extensively to the local press. Dr. Tan is also active in community outreach; speaking on a variety of health topics to the general public as well as corporations. Achievements: Certificate in Men’s Health, Certificate in Clinical Dermatology, Advance Treatment for wrinkles Certificate, Dermal Fillers Certificate of Competency and Certificate in Surgical Hair Transplant.

Dr Sim graduated from the University of Bristol and went on to work in the UK – Swindon and Bath for 2 years where she practiced a broad range of specialties including General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Acute Medicine and General Practice. Upon moving to Singapore, she started working in palliative care at Dover Park Hospice before being accepted into the Family Medicine residency program. Henceforth she underwent postgraduate training in a variety of disciplines including General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology at NUH and Geriatric Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Dr Sim’s particular area of interest is in women’s health. This spans a wide variety of topics, which includes but is not limited to fertility treatment and contraception. Since Dr Sim believes that lifelong learning is essential in practice she recently attended a pelvic ultrasound course and is now developing her competency with this new skill. She has obtained multiple post graduate certificates including Certificate of competence in Treatment for wrinkles and fillers, Paediatric Life Support, PROMPT Obstetric emergency course, Advanced Care Planning Facilitator and Core Resuscitative Skills Training course. Dr Sim strives to improve her medical skills by attending courses, daily experience and lifelong learning. She has proven popular with a down to earth attitude and holistic approach to patients and their families.

Dr Rachel Ng graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009, with a double degree in Medicine and Medical Science. She returned to Singapore to train as an internist in the Internal Medicine Residency programme, and has accrued many years of clinical experience in tertiary hospitals across the country. Her training has exposed her to a broad range of subspecialties, including Cardiology, Intensive Care Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology and Rheumatology. In her 4th year of training, she obtained her post graduate qualifications and was registered as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh).

As a female doctor, Dr Ng is particularly passionate about promoting women's health in Singapore. Her special interests include, but are not limited to the areas of Cardiology and Preventative Medicine. She strives to raise awareness for women's health through public education, and practices preventative medicine through the use of judicious health screening and risk factor modification. A strong proponent of continuing medical education, she keeps herself regularly updated on the latest advances in medicine, and continues to attend workshops and courses to further enhance her clinical skills.
