Oakview Dermatology - Athens

Board Certified Dermatologist. Dermatology Residency Director. She is a 2003 graduate of Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her dermatology residency in June of 2008. She is an associate clinical professor at Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has lived in Southeast Ohio for over 20 years and is pleased to be able to serve the communities in this area. She is devoted to the study and treatment of all dermatologic diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. She has a particular interest in skin cancer and dermatologic surgery. Our state of the art office equipment allows for us to do all but the most complicated dermatologic surgeries in-house, under local anesthesia. In addition, we are also pleased to offer photo-dynamic therapy for the treatment of actinic keratoses and laser therapy for hair removal and vein therapy.

Board Certified Dermatologist, MOHS Micrographic Surgeon. He joined Oakview Dermatology in March of 2013 to provide MOHS micrographic surgery to the Athens area . He obtained his medical degree from State University of New York. He went on to complete his residency for dermatology at University of Arkansas and shortly after became Board Certified in Dermatology. His specialization areas include skin cancer and MOHS micrographic surgery.

Dermatology Physician Assistant. He brought on Dermatology Physician Assistant, Nathan Misel, in an effort to extend our ability to provide dermatologic care for the patients here in Southeast Ohio. Nathan joined our team in October of 2008 and has become a valuable asset to our organization. He graduated from Marietta College with a master's degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2007. He did clinical training in multiple areas of specialty medicine, including Dermatology. Prior to joining our team, Nathan spent time working in a private dermatology office and a local ER. He is certified to treat patients under the supervision of Dr. Sammons.
