Can't thank the clinic and dentist enough

Can't thank Mr Emms enough. Over 10 years of facial pain causing deliberating migrains. Over time I had seen ENT Doctors, had MRI scans, my normal dentist just said its not TMJ, and I paid for private consultation at popular clinic thinking it might be sinuses causing pain but they just checked scan already taken at the Manor for my own GP and dismissed it.

Things came to head when my doctor said the only pain killers that helped summatripitan. I could no longer have it because of age. Panic stricken I phoned another private clinic to see if they had anyone who dealt with TMJ they said no but has the receptionist was about to hang up she said try Mr Emms in Penkridge. Did so straight away and managed to get appointment.

On first appointment Mr Emms did a digital xray and said not TMJ but it sounds like the lower end of the Tygeminal nerve and suggested tablets to doctor to try. When I went to doctors to see about tablets he said tell me the symptoms again which I did, he says yes it does sound like, that ### I thought. Well the tablets worked and MrEmms probably saved my health as well with the amount of painkillers I was taking, Can't thank Priors and Mr Emms enough.

GDC NO: 59898. L.D.S. R.C.S (Edin 1985) MSc (UCL 2004). He qualified from Edinburgh’s Royal College of Surgeons in 1985 and after nearly 30 years in the profession is still, if not more, passionate and enthusiastic about dentistry. His eagerness to continue his learning and expand his skill base is evident, thriving on the challenges of this ever-changing discipline, especially in surgical procedures. Mark’s core ethos is on high quality dentistry with longevity, ensuring the best results for his patients for many years to come. He bought The Priors Dental Practice in 1986. His enthusiasm and love for his work combined with his considerable expertise and personable character, has helped Mark build a business that is much respected across Staffordshire by both patients as well as by other dental professionals. He has undertaken several years of prosthodontic training and has been placing dental implants successfully since 1992. With his Masters degree (2004) in Conservative Dentistry, from the Eastman Dental Institute, University of London, Mark has demonstrated a skill and talent for this particular area of dentistry. This can be attested to by his peers and many satisfied patients.

GDC NO: 72637. BDS (Sheffield 1997). After qualifying in 1997 from University of Sheffield, he joined the Priors Dental Practice as Associate Dentist in 2003. He takes care of the general dentistry in the practice and is also trained in implant placement. Daniel is highly skilled in restoration treatments, veneers, crown, bridgework and cosmetic treatments and offers specialised treatment plans to meet individual dental needs. He has excellent patient relationship skills, and his patients even say they enjoy coming to the dentist! There is always a lot of laughter coming from his surgery – a good sound to hear at the dentist! He has a passion for food and wine, mountain biking and has a keen interest in cars. He likes to spend time walking with his family and dog Bodie.

His multiple qualifications and hard-earned position of respect within the profession reflect in every detail of every case he accepts. The materials and appliances he uses are of the latest design and highest quality to ensure that every patient achieves their expectations as quickly and comfortably as possible. He is a trainer for postgraduate orthodontic students based at both Birmingham and Manchester as well as contributing to many university programmes across the UK and Europe. He is involved in clinical research at the highest level and has published reports in the Journal of Orthodontics, The British Dental Journal and Evidence Based Dentistry. He is an examiner for the membership in orthodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, taking time out each year to help set the standards for the next generation of orthodontists.
