Orthodontist Consultation Dr Eric Tonge
Job Title: Orthodontist Biography: BDS MSc Dorth RCS
Eric Tonge is one of Britain’s leading orthodontists. He qualified in dentistry at University College Hospital London then studied orthodontics at The Eastman Dental Hospital.
In 1980 he joined one of Europe’s busiest orthodontic practices based in Holland. Whilst still working there, in 1986 Dr. Tonge was invited to become a partner in a prestigious practice in the West End of London and returned to the Eastman to teach in the Orthodontic Department. He then established Bath Orthodontics some four years later, and relocated to larger premises in 1997. Dr. Tonge also co-founded and was a principal orthodontist of ‘Elleven Orthodontics’ an elite London, West End orthodontic practice. This practice won not only the best ‘Practice of the year award’ in 2006 but also the ‘Best Specialist Referral Practice’ in the same year. He has since sold his London based practice and is now based in Bath Orthodontics.
Dr. Tonge was elected to the committee of the British Association of Orthodontists and joined the Standards Committee of the British Orthodontic Society. He is also an International Member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr Lucy Pitman
Job Title: Doctor Biography: Qualified in Dentistry from Liverpool in 1993 and worked in general practice for 10 years. She joined Bath Orthodontics in 2003 and has gained a wealth of experience both in the practice and on external courses. Lucy has three children who keep her very busy when she is not at work.
Ms Toni Snow
Job Title: Orthodontist Biography: Joined Bath Orthodontics in 2003 as a dental nurse with no previous dental experience. She qualified as a dental nurse in 2005 and then went on to sit post qualifications in radiography and orthodontic nursing. In 2008 Toni was lucky enough to be accepted as one of the first student orthodontic therapists in the UK and qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009.
