Ms Linda Hewings

Job Title:
  Dental Auxiliary
She joined the Women’s Royal Naval Service in 1968 as a Dental Surgery Assistant and qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 1969. Her first employment was at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, then various private and N.H.S dental practices. Linda is passionate about dentistry and has always attended the necessary courses to keep up to date with the changing procedures of prevention and cure. As a hygienist, “prevention” has always been the main aim, but with the progression of “cure”, that has accelerated, her job is even more rewarding. Being part of a professional team has always been paramount, as regards a happy and successful practice.

Ms Karen Lawrence

Job Title:
  Dental Auxiliary
Dental hygienist from the Royal Dental Hospital in London in 1979 after training as a dental assistant at UCL. She then continued to work in private and NHS practices in South East London. During a break from working, whilst her children were young, she studied food preparation and gained a City and Guilds teaching qualification from South East London College. Karen moved to Deal and in 1998 started working in local practices. She joined Preston House Dental in 2005 as one of two hygienists. Her friendly and understanding manner puts even the most apprehensive patient at ease.
