Dental Bridges

When you have lost a tooth then it can often be replaced by a bridge. This is a permanent replacement that is cemented into place. This can be an adhesive bridge that requires little or no drilling and is simply bonded to an adjacent tooth. It may also be a conventional bridge which is similar to a series of crowns fused together, replacing the lost tooth. Bridges offer an excellent and quick way of replacing a missing tooth.

Dental Checkup

from £25

Examination

At Bushey Dental Surgery we recommend regular examinations to help maintain your oral health, which would include a soft tissue check to check for any abnormal changes in the mouth. We also perform the appropriate radiographic investigations to check for early signs of dental decay that can then be treated before it becomes a problem, and diet and oral hygiene advice
from £425

Dental Crowns

When a tooth is heavily filled then sometimes it is best to restore it with a crown. This will help support the remaining tooth tissue and improve the appearance and function. There are many different types of crowns available, from simple metal crowns to more aesthetic tooth coloured crowns.

Dentures

Dentures are false teeth that can be removed from the mouth for cleaning. They can be made out of plastic or they sometimes have a metal framework. Dentures may be used to restore your dentition when all the teeth have been lost or for when you still have some remaining teeth.
from £35

Fillings

We offer a full range of fillings to restore your teeth. These can be amalgam fillings (silver fillings) or white fillings. In most cases we can place tooth coloured fillings in the back teeth, so if you are interested in more aesthetic restorations then please ask your dentist.

Root Filling

When a nerve has died in a tooth, through injury or infection, then in order to save the tooth it is necessary to do a root canal filling. This involves removing the infected portion of the tooth and filling in this area with root canal filling material. This then enables the infected area to heal.
from £48

Hygienist Session (30 mins)

At Bushey Dental Surgery we feel that prevention is better than cure. The major cause of tooth loss today is through gum disease, which is when the bone support for the teeth is lost due to the body’s response to plaque and calculus build up. Our hygienists are trained to remove this plaque and calculus on the teeth but will also show you the most effective ways that you can maintain your oral hygiene yourself.
from £90

Mouth Guard

If you or your children play contact sports, then having a well fitting sports mouthguard is essential. We will make you a custom made mouthguard , in your choice of colour or pattern, that will help protect your teeth against trauma.
from £190

Root Canals

from £170

Teeth Whitening

Teeth darken with age and are stained by foods and drinks. Smoking also stains teeth and the natural white becomes darkened. Teeth whitening is a safe successful and easy method of lightening the colour of your teeth. The amount of whiteness achieved will vary from person to person and with the type of process chosen. Home whitening uses a personally made mouth tray. The whitening gel is placed in the tray and this is worn whist asleep or for short times during the day. Results can usually be seen over 14 days.

Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain that is bonded onto the front surface of a tooth. This can dramatically improve the appearance, masking irregularities in size, shape and colour.
