One of Ian's particular interests is the provision of an orthopaedic approach to his orthodontic treatment, trying where possible to avoid extracting healthy teeth, and instead developing the jaws to accomodate the teeth nature intended. He has a particular interest in treating Skeletal Class 3 cases without the need for surgery, and has had many successful instances of this type of treatment.
