Job Title: Dentist
Specialisations: Oral Surgery, Restorative Dentistry Biography: Dr Rose qualified from Liverpool University in 1992.
He spent his first years gaining further experience in restorative dentistry and oral surgery as a House Officer and Senior House Officer in many of the local hospitals.
After becoming an associate in 1994 he was asked back into the Liverpool Dental Hospital to treat restorative cases and handicapped/anxious patients under general anaesthetic
He was made associate to the board of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners Mersey Division in 1996 on which he served for 4 years and participated in the Liverpool peer review and audit group from 1995 until he was made audit facilitator in 1998.
Further training saw him complete his training in the “clear brace” Invisalign system for teeth straightening and, as private practice developed, he attained his Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from Bristol University in 2004 after 3 years of further study. In 2005 he completed his year long course in implantology based at Trafford General Hospital under the guidance of Dr Cemal Ucer and now is regularly placing Nobel Biocare implants for a growing list of patients.
Dr Rose has also been a part time lecturer at the University of Liverpool Dental Hospital for more than 10 years. During this time he has helped in the training of over 500 UK and overseas new dentists whilst being able to keep up to date and in touch with developing hospital trends. He is also an approved trainer to mentor newly qualified dentists through their first year in dental practice, helping them to avoid the difficulties and pit falls that the transition from the hospital environment may bring.
