After smashing my front two teeth in an accident several years ago, my dentist referred me to Howard Lloyd for root canal treatment on one of the teeth which had suffered nerve damage. I can not recommend Howard highly enough. Calm and friendly, made me feel completely at ease, and explained everything very thoroughly. The treatment went perfectly - no discomfort whatsoever. Worth every penny!

Re-rooting of a lower first molar tooth.

I was referred by my private dental practice to Howard Lloyd to treat a root canal which had failed. The infection which resulted was serious enough to mean that unless correctly treated, the tooth would have to be removed.

I was immediately put at ease by Howard from the moment I arrived. I have mobility problems and use a wheelchair, but both Howard and his dental nurse, Sarah, expertly assisted in helping me transfer to the dental couch.

Howard clearly explained to both myself and my husband the difficulties which the failed root canal presented and the procedure which would be undertaken to correct the problem. After two visits, at which the treatment was carried out with the utmost care and consideration, the situation is that there is no infection and I have been advised that the outcome for the tooth is good.

I have nothing but admiration for Howard and would recommend him to anyone with a complex endodontic problem.

I was referred to this Howard Lloyd by my NHS dentist. She did warn me that the cost would be high. She did say I could use an alternative dentist and treatment would be done by trainees(about half the cost) but as the root canel work would be under a crown I may lose it. This would be extra cost. I decided to go to Howard Lloyd who immediately said he could save the crown so although it was more expensive I save the cost of further work.On the day of treatment I was greeted by friendly staff who put you at ease. I felt no pain during and after. I would recommend using Howard Lloyd anyone who wants a trouble free and painless experience.

Having been fortunate enough to avoid any major work done on my teeth, the thought of having complex root canal treatment was rather daunting especially as my own dentist had referred me to a specialist. Howard and his staff were very friendly and their warm greeting immediately put me at ease. Howard started off by discussing my root canal problem in great detail followed by the treatment and process he would administer. He also talked about the high-tech instruments he would use and how they allow him to do such delicate and intricate work. He assured me at the beginning I would feel no pain and I have to say he was true to his word. During the operation, Howard would frequently tell me at what point he was in the process, what he was going to do next and how long before he would be finished. This was a totally different dental experience and would thoroughly recommend Howard Lloyd Endodontics to anyone with similar issues.

I was recommended to Howard LLoyd's clinic by my NHS dentist with little hope of saving an ugly back tooth that was clearly infected. Since receiving the root canel treatment I have had no further pain or problem with the tooth - miraculously it seems to me, the infection has gone and the bone has recovered! The treatment from the clinic was very professionally executed, with care and attention to every detail. The computer technology is also most impressive.

Howard put me at ease from the minute I walked in, he is very personable and it was easy to discuss my dental concerns. His surgery is very modern, clean and bright and he makes good use of all the latest technology and equipment to show you what’s wrong and how to treat your problem.
My treatment involved a 2 hour root canal, Howard's treatment methods were so much better than any I've had previously.
My treatment was clean (there wasn’t even the need for any undignified rinsing) it was virtually pain free and it was competently carried out.
Howard has a clever anaesthetic device (no idea of the technical name) it only took one injection and it precisely numbed the exact tooth that Howard needed to work on. This is far removed from my previous experiences of having several injections leaving me completely numb around my cheeks, nose and lips for hours. I could talk clearly as soon as he had finished and my face wasn't swollen, this alone makes Howard worth his weight in gold. I was able to get straight back to work which is fantastic if you have a really busy schedule to keep and need to talk without difficulty.
I left feeling well looked after and armed with all the aftercare advice I could possibly have needed.
If you need treatment go and visit Howard, he’s worth every penny. He’s obviously very popular and he keeps ahead of all the latest endodontic developments by attending seminars and conferences, so I'd advise getting your appointment booked in quickly before he gets fully booked up or disappears off overseas for another conference.

As a VERY nervous patient who experienced an excruciatingly painful root canal filling a few years ago, I am extremely pleased with the service and results with Howard Lloyd. I felt welcome and relaxed the moment I stepped through the door, the consultation was informative, with regular explanation during the procedure itself, and I was surprisingly comfortable throughout. Suffice to say that I was overwhelmed with joy to have not felt any pain during or after. I would not hesitate to recommend Howard Lloyd to anyone looking for a friendly, professional and pain-free treatment.

I'm still waiting to see the definitive results but treatment was carried out professionally, with great explanations, follow up visits are included in the price, and they also went out of their way to treat me quickly - great given that I was in pain.
