Dr Isaac Chong
Biography:
Dr Isaac Chong graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore. He is an Affiliate Member of the American Dental Association and the President of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (Singapore) 2009-2011. He has also been admitted to the Academy of Laser Dentistry, an international organization devoted to laser dentistry, by examination. Dr Chong is a Sustaining Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and is on the Academy’s referral list, which recommends only qualified cosmetic dentists to patients who seek highly aesthetic results for their dental restoration and smile designs. Dr Chong helps his patients achieve that perfect smile through a combination of orthodontics and aesthetic dentistry. To keep abreast of the latest technology and techniques in dentistry, Dr Chong attends numerous continuing education programmes both locally and internationally. He has completed an orthodontic training programme in California, USA and has pursued a postgraduate level training in contemporary aesthetic dentistry at the University of Minnesota. He is the first dentist to have successfully completed the rigorous requirements and received the Certificate of Contemporary Restorative & Esthetic Dentistry from the University of Minnesota. His passion in aesthetic dentistry is evident in the 16 trips made to Minnesota within the 3 years period taken to complete the course. Dr Chong enjoys imparting his skills and knowledge in cosmetic dentistry and is actively involved in conducting lectures and hands-on courses in Singapore as well as in Asia. Dr Chong is currently a clinical advising professor of the Apsun Dental Implant Research & Education Centre. In July 2007, Dr Chong was made an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry at the National University of Singapore. Dr Chong is currently involved in a community project with City Harvest Community Services Association, the aim being to use dentistry as an instrument to help the under-privileged people in Singapore. In his free time, Dr Chong plays the piano and organ, he especially enjoys playing Christian music, both traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship songs. In addition, he has a strong interest in photography, and enjoys capturing the beauty of nature through his lens, especially the colourful sunrise and sunsets that are often forgotten in our busy hurried world.
