The dentist was so professional and made me feel confident that it would be okNicola, Ireland, 20 05 22

I went to Shields dental as I had a cracked dental bridge I was extremely nervous that there was damage done to my teeth underneath. Cormac was so professional and made me feel confident that it would be ok. I came away with a temporary bridge and had a replacement fitted 2 weeks later. Cormac is skilled and professional and can highly recommend the practice.

Non-Surgical Extractions €65 - €100
Treatment Duration: 30 – 60 minutes A tooth may need to be removed from the mouth if it cannot be saved through any other treatment. Most commonly teeth are extracted when a tooth is broken through trauma/accident, decay or if it is loose. There are many reasons an extraction may be required. It is important to consult your dentist regarding a dental plan. There are two types of tooth extraction: Simple extraction: This is the most common type of extraction and is very straight forward. This type of extraction occurs when the tooth is visible or loose in the mouth. Surgical extraction: This is a more complicated procedure and is necessary if a tooth is broken at the gum line or is below the gum line. This type of extraction takes more time and in some instances can only be carried out by an oral surgeon. If this is the case our dentist will refer you to an oral surgeon. What to expect from your visit to White Smile Dental: Once you have made an appointment you will be sent a reminder text the day before with our your appointment details and our address. Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out a new patient form and take a seat in our comfortable waiting area. At your appointment time, our dentist will check your mouth and the affected tooth while taking xrays if required. He will discuss all options available and clearly outline the cost and time frame of treatment. At this point and if it is possible you may decide to have the tooth removed there and then or arrange to come back at a more convenient time. Aftercare notes are given at the end of your appointment to guide you post treatment.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction
Treatment Duration: 45 – 60 minutes Wisdom teeth are located at the very back of the mouth and tend to come through in when in your twenties or later. This often causes problems with space in the mouth (impacted) when they are ‘erupting’ leading to pain and infection. In some cases wisdom teeth can only be removed by an oral surgeon in which case our dentist will refer you. If you are in pain from your wisdom teeth please contact us immediately. We will ensure we see you as soon as possible. There is a possibility our dentist may not be able to remove your wisdom tooth that day, but we will help with any pain and prescribe antibiotics if required.
