I was seen by Dr. Jorge de la Cruz in September 2015 (dental tourist) for a bridge and crown. I am still very happy with the professional work by Jorge. He was very careful to explain every step of the procedures in a courteous manner. Jorge's English is expert...he trained in the USA. I am planning to return for additional work. The cost of these procedures is less than the states by a lot, even with the cost of a vacation in Antigua, Guate included. Further, Antigua is a wonderfully, safe city.
Clinicas de la Cruz is very modern and looks like any other dental office I am familiar with in the US. I chose Dr. de la Cruz after internet research and the recommendation of a Guate friend whose opinion I greatly respect.

I contacted Clinica in Antigua. Their response was fast and I had an appointment the next day. I agreed to do their service. Only complication was they had several offices and they were confused about which office I would visit.

Dental Bridges

The first step is for your dentist to make an impression of the tooth. This is taken to a dental laboratory where a custom-made crown is fashioned. A temporary crown is installed and you will wear this until the permanent crown has been made which usually takes about two weeks. However we can speed up to 2-7 days if requested. The cement color used for your permanent crown must be the same as used for your temporary crown as the color of the cement does affect the overall color of a porcelain crown. When you return for your second appointment the permanent crown will be cemented onto your tooth. The crown should last for ten to fifteen years. The placement of a crown can usually be completed with only two appointments. However, it is possible that your tooth may require a preliminary restoration. In order to stabilize your tooth, a filling will be put in place prior to placing a crown due to the loss of original tooth structure.

Dental Crowns

The inlay/onlay with another word one type of filling what we make after we get an imprint an then the dental technician make it and after some days we can stick in your mouth with a special glue. Very strong and aesthetic, good for substitute the non exist tooth tissue. huThe chewing teeth's caries often make the tooth big part is damaged. Very good for an old, big amalgam filling substition of a root treatment upperfilling. Is more difficult to fix the fillings in this size of cavity, can be easier falling out. The fillings strenghten more filling component may be smaller so the closings are not correct. With this the damaged teeth's good tissues can be rescued! Basic components can be composite or compostie with fibreglass or gold and porcelain.

Teeth Whitening

A dental bridge is a false tooth which is fused between two porcelain crowns in order to replace a missing tooth. Each bridge is custom made to fill in the space. If spaces are left unfilled the surrounding teeth are liable to drift out of position. Furthermore, spaces from missing teeth can cause your other teeth and your gums to become far more susceptible to tooth decay and gum disease.

Veneers

Smaller cavities in a tooth often only require dental fillings. Today’s fillings are white in colour and therefore aesthetically pleasing. They are manufactured chairside by the dentist from dental resin to which wear-resistant ceramic granules are added.
