Biography:
Dr. Clokie is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and is the Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto. He practices the full scope of the specialty of Oral and Maxiilofacial Surgery. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1985 and completed his specialty training in 1990 then subsequently a doctorate (PhD) in bone regeneration related to interface development of dental implants from McGill University in 1992. Dr. Clokie has established himself as a leader in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Due to his innovative approaches to the surgical management of the jaws he is frequently sought after as a clinician and teacher. He has many publications and has lectured internationally on a variety of topics related to oral healthcare including the future of Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, bone regeneration and university related technology transfer.
In 1993, Dr Clokie established the Bone-Integrated Implant Research Group at McGill University that has been actively involved in the evaluation and development of new bone regenerative technologies. In this capacity he has served as a consultant and as a member of the scientific advisory boards for numerous companies and industrial partners.

In September 2003 Dr. Clokie completed his five-year term as Head of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network. He has recently moved his hospital affliation to the Mount Sinai Hospital where he operates, runs clinics and Heads the Graduate Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Zosky is a graduate of the University of Toronto and received his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Northwestern University. He is a Fellow of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Zosky is the author of several implant-related articles and a chapter in the W.B. Saunders textbook: "Endosseous Implants in the Maxillofacial Reconstruction". He has lectured extensively in North America and abroad. He is past president of the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and past President of the Academy of Osseointegration Foundation. He has Fellowship status in the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Zosky is an active surgical staff at Trillium Health Sciences Centre. He is also an Associate in Dentistry, University of Toronto and teaches in the Implant Prosthodontic/Surgical Unit.

Dr. Amir Mousavifar completed his specalty training at McGill university and is a Fellow in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Royal College of Dentists in Canada. He will be working out of our downtown Toronto (Profiles Oral Surgery) as well as a newly opened clinic in Etobicoke (West Profiles Oral Surgery). He is also a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentisrty being involved both with the undergraduate and graduate oral and maxillofacial surgery programs. Amir is multilingual, speaking English, French and Farsi. When not working he spends most of his time with his young family and is dedicated to building a comprehensive practice in oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with our team at profiles.
