Dr. Gary M. Foshay is a licensed Periodontist with over 25 years of experience in periodontics and in placing dental implants. He is recognized as a leader in his field and is well known by colleagues nationally and internationally.
Dr. Foshay completed his undergraduate education at Mount Allison University (BSc Hon.F.C.) and dental education (DDS) at Dalhousie University, Faculty of Dentistry and graduated with numerous awards. Following two years of general practice in dentistry he completed postdoctoral training in Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. Graduating in 1982, he joined Dr. Edward Hannigan and Dr. Noel Andrews in private practice limited to Periodontics in Halifax and was appointed Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry, Dalhousie University, teaching part-time in the post-doctoral program in Periodontics, and undergraduate Dentistry. Dr. Foshay has taught and lectured for over 20 years with Dalhousie in the areas of periodontics, occlusion and implant surgery and was Clinical Director of the post-doctoral program in Periodontics at one time.
In the mid 1980s implant dentistry emerged, and following additional advanced training, Dr. Foshay established a reputation for expertise in the surgical delivery of this important addition to the range of dental specialty services offered in his practice group.
During his years of specialty practice and teaching, Dr. Foshay has lectured in Canada, the United States and Europe in the various disciplines of his specialty. He is a past President of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, the Atlantic Society of Periodontology and worked on numerous committees serving his profession, including chair positions for the scientific programs of national meetings for the Canadian Dental Association and the Canadian Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Foshay is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, Canadian Academy of Periodontology, Canadian Dental Association, Atlantic Society of Periodontology, the Nova Scotia Dental Association and the Society of Dental Specialists of Nova Scotia.
Dr. Foshay continues an active private specialty practice in Halifax limited to Periodontics, Oral Medicine and Implant Surgery, serving a referral base from throughout Atlantic Canada.

Dr. Stacey Matheson is a certified specialist in periodontics with a full time private practice limited to the treatment of periodontal disease, oral medicine as it relates to the periodontal tissues and the placement of dental implant fixtures. Her private practice is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Dr. Matheson is a native of Nova Scotia. She received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS. She received many rewards during her dental studies in several different areas of dentistry including clinical fixed prosthodontics, periodontics and occlusion. Upon graduation, she continued her studies at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with numerous awards, her Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science Degree.
In 2003, Dr. Matheson returned to Halifax and took an associate position at Halifax’s Periodontal Associates. Shortly thereafter, she assumed Dr. Edward Hannigan’s practice as he transitioned into retirement. She currently has a full time periodontics practice and enjoys periodically teaching Periodontics in the undergraduate dentistry program at Dalhousie University.

Dr. Chris Cameron is a certified Periodontist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He is an active member of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Canadian Dental Association and the Nova Scotia Dental Association.
Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Dr. Cameron moved to Halifax in 1994 to attend the University of King’s College and completed his Bachelor of Science (Honors) in biology and philosophy. Dr. Cameron graduated from Dalhousie University, Faculty of Dentistry in 2004, receiving the American Academy of Periodontics award for outstanding performance in periodontics. Following two years of general dentistry practice in Halifax, Dr. Cameron continued his dental education by attending in 2007, a residency program in periodontics at the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Dentistry. Graduating in 2010, Dr. Cameron completed a Masters of Dentistry with research focused on a novel method of training periodontics residents in surgical procedures.
