Benefits Of Early Treatment Advantages of initiating treatment at the right time: Better prognosis of avoiding extraction of permanent teeth. Better guidance of skeletal problems, since the orthodontist can control and guide the skeletal development prior to the onset of puberty. Better tissue response to treatment. Better adaptation of the young patients to the appliances and better cooperation. Practically easier treatment, since elementary school children have fewer obligations than those of high school. Younger children don’t feel embarrassed and generally they don’t have the psychological issues of adolescents. When the treatment starts early, it is almost finished by the time the child enters puberty and they have more self-esteem as teenagers because of their improved facial esthetics. Adult patients, whose skeletal development is completed, have extractions of permanent teeth more often or when they have severe skeletal problems occasionally require orthognathic surgery. Straightening front teeth before teen years. Correcting dental and skeletal crossbites. Making room for erupting teeth (minimize impactions). A shorter second phase (if needed). Guide jaw growth. Lower the risk of trauma to protruded front teeth. Correct harmful oral habits. Improve appearance. Guide permanent teeth into a more favorable position. Create a more pleasing arrangement of teeth, lips and face

Implant Bridge

Dental Implants are artificial devices used by dentists to replace a missing tooth, many teeth on one side, or used to support an entire fixed of removable denture replacing all the upper of lower teeth. A natural tooth consists of a crown and a root. The crown is the part of the tooth, which can be seen above the gum tissue. The root is hidden under the gum tissue and within the bone. It is the root, which secures the natural tooth to the jawbone. In order to replace a missing tooth, your doctor must re-create the crown portion, and choose the best method for affixing it within the mouth. Dental implants were developed for this purpose. The implant procedure begins with comprehensive treatment planning of your entire mouth to determine that this is the most appropriate treatment option to replace a missing tooth. The surgical procedure involves: Exposing the implant site by opening the gum tissue and preparing the bone to receive the implant. The titanium implant is then placed into the prepared site, and once the implant is fully seated into the bone the gum tissue is the sutured, closing the implant site. The healing phase usually lasts for 3-6 months allowing the implant to “Osseo-integrate”. This means the bone grows around the newly placed implant so that the implant becomes a part of your body. During this time forces are not placed on the implant! When it is time for the implant to be uncovered the gum tissue is opened and a healing collar is placed onto the implant. The healing collar will help the gum tissue become ready for a new prosthetic tooth. Impressions are taken and a final crown fits over a post lying over the implant. This crown will resemble the natural tooth it replaced, as it emerges for the gum tissue, supporting by the implant.
