PRMA is one of the leading breast reconstruction practices in the world, routinely welcoming out-of-state and international patients. We specialize in state-of-the-art breast reconstruction techniques that use the patient's own tissue to reconstruct a "natural", warm, soft breast. These techniques include the DIEP, SIEA, GAP, and TUG flap procedures.
We are in-network for most US insurance plans and do not balance bill.
We also offer a wide spectrum of cosmetic procedures including tummy tuck, breast augmentation, breast reduction and breast lift.

received his M.D. from Wayne State University in 1987. As part of his medical training Dr. Ledoux has completed multiple internships, residencies, fellowships and has participated in medical studies. Dr. Pisano is Board-Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Native Texan, born in Waco and raised in San Antonio, Dr. Steven Pisano attended John Marshall High School here in San Antonio. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Chet Nastala graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and completed medical school at Duke University. Dr. Nastala then attended the University of Pittsburgh for a nine-year post-graduate program that integrates the disciplines of plastic surgery, general surgery, microvascular surgery, and surgical oncology research. As a member of the PRMA team, Dr. Nastala brings his impressive education and experience to our practice. Biography:

"Dr C" is a board certified plastic surgeon, breast reconstruction surgeon and microsurgeon. He moved to San Antonio, Texas to join the PRMA Plastic Surgery team in 2006.

Dr C was raised and educated in London, England. His academic achievements earned him admission to University College London Medical School. He received several prestigious awards including the Anatomy Departmental Award for academic excellence, the Amulree Elective Award for high academic placement, the Goldsmid Scholarship and Exhibition for overall academic proficiency, and the Eric Pearce Gould Bursary for overall clinical proficiency. Based on his academic achievements Dr C was invited to undertake an Intercalated Bachelor of Science degree between his second and third years of medical school, which he completed in Advanced Antatomy and Morphology.

In 1997, Dr C moved from London to Texas. He continued his training in general surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas prior to his fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. During his training, he won the prestigious D. Ralph Millard, MD Investigator Award, Plastic Surgery Education Foundation (PSEF) Scholarship Contest (1998). He has also completed fellowships in burn research at Shriner's Burn Hospital for Children in Galveston, and hand surgery and microsurgery at the Indiana Hand Center and Indiana University.

On joining PRMA, Dr C focused his efforts on expanding PRMA’s footprint beyond Texas to provide access to state-of-the-art breast reconstruction to women across the US and beyond. PRMA now welcomes patients from across the World.

Dr C is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is also an active member in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the San Antonio International Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

He has authored and co-authored several book chapters and scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, has been an expert speaker at regional and national academic meetings, and serves on several ASPS committees. He is routinely featured in the media for his contributions to the field of breast reconstruction and has been the featured "expert guest" on various shows. Dr. Arishita was born and raised in Petaluma, California. After graduating from the University of California, Davis with highest honors in Physiology, he pursued his medical degree in the US Air Force. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant and studied medicine at the F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland and graduated in 1987. It was in medical school that he became interested in breast reconstruction and decided to become a plastic surgeon.

After graduation, he returned to California to study general surgery to best prepare for a future in plastic surgery. As a resident, he authored presentations and a paper on a new method of diagnosing non-palpable breast lesions. In 1992, he completed his general surgery residency at David Grant USAF Medical Center, California. He worked as a general surgeon for two years and treated patients with breast cancer. These experiences have been invaluable in caring for patients battling breast cancer.

Dr. Arishita moved to San Antonio in 1994 to begin his plastic surgery residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, Lackland AFB, Texas. He completed a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery, Louisville, Kentucky. After completing residency in 1997, he was selected to join the staff at Wilford Hall and train future Air Force plastic surgeons. Breast reconstruction remained his primary interest and he served as the lead microvascular plastic surgeon for many years. While on staff at Wilford Hall, he performed the majority of free flap breast reconstructions in the Air Force. He taught breast reconstruction to plastic surgery residents from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio.

Dr. Arishita left the Air Force in 2008 having completed 25 years of military service. During his career, he served many roles - general surgeon, plastic surgeon and as commander. Breast reconstruction was his primary reason for choosing plastic surgery and remained his area of interest throughout his service. He worked to write breast cancer clinical protocols for the Air Force requiring breast reconstruction education during treatment. He remained surgically active, despite being called upon to servie as a leader during his latter years in the Air Force. He was the Chief Plastic Surgeon for the US Air Force from 2003-2008.

Dr. Arishita joined PRMA in 2008 and has been able to pursue his mission of providing reconstruction to breast cancer patients. He has been annually recognized as one of "America's Top Surgeons."

Dr. Arishita's area of professional interest is breast reconstruction and he performs all types of breast reconstruction surgery. He utilizes all techniques ranging from free tissue transfers to implants, tissue expanders and fat grafting.

Dr. Arishita is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Both of these boards are recognized and are members of the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Dr. Ochoa received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2001, where he co-authored seminal studies involving ultrasound-assisted lipectomy and treatment of common hand infections. He commenced his surgical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in General Surgery. With a strong interest in research, Dr. Ochoa was granted an NIH-sponsored research fellowship to perform basic science studies in skeletal muscle physiology, angiogenesis and immunology in 2005 leading to various scientific articles published in peer-reviewed journals. He subsequently acquired a Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation in 2007 from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Ochoa completed residency in 2009 and obtained board certification in General Surgery in 2010.

After completing General Surgery residency, Dr. Ochoa continued his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Harboring a keen interest in microvascular reconstruction, Dr. Ochoa performed over 100 free tissue transfer reconstructions during his comprehensive training. Spending a significant portion of his training at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Dr. Ochoa learned cutting-edge surgical techniques used for varied types of breast reconstruction. He completed residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in June 2011 and joined Plastic Reconstructive and Microsurgical Associates (PRMA) in San Antonio the same year. Dr. Ochoa became board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2013 and has achieved the prestigious status of fellow with the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

Dr. Ochoa, who is bilingual, has given numerous research presentations at national and regional scientific meetings, including the Surgical Forum at the American College of Surgeons meeting in 2006. He has been the recipient of numerous research awards including the prestigious Cronin Award at the Texas Society of Plastic Surgery meeting in 2010. Dr. Garza is originally from Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended The University of Texas – Pan American where he graduated Suma Cum Laude with Honors. He attended the nationally ranked Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where he excelled in medical school. While in medical school he solidified his interest in plastic surgery after seeing the profound impact plastic surgeons have improving patients lives. He matched into the highly competitive Plastic Surgery Residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA. During his residency, he performed complex reconstructions including DIEP flaps, and from these experiences found his calling in complex breast reconstruction. To gain further knowledge and experience performing these procedures, he furthered his training by doing a microsurgery fellowship at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Here, he worked alongside world-renowned microsurgeons performing complex microsurgery including cutting edge lymphedema microsurgery as well as complex breast reconstruction, limb salvage, and head & neck cancer reconstructions. Dr. Garza joined PRMA in the summer of 2016.
