Once the cast is removed mild postoperative swelling may persist for months afterwards, and it is typical for a rhinoplasty to take a year or more to fully heal. Bruising can last for a few weeks, especially if the nasal bones are intentionally broken during the surgery, a maneuver commonly performed to reduce the size of the nasal bridge. Rhinoplasty can be performed with other facial procedures, including blepharoplasty, brow lift and facelift.
