Due to my thrombocytopenia the procedure was far more complex than a standard mastopexy procedure as I required a platelet transfusion before and after surgery along with an overnight stay in hospital, a number of consultants and nurses were involved in this process and I honestly can’t thank them all enough. My safety and care was absolutely paramount and I felt this from everyone who was involved in my care. I am absolutely delighted with the outcome and cannot thank everyone involved enough. As someone who has recently undergone blepharoplasty, the decision to undergo this procedure has been life-changing. After beginning to feel self-conscious about the appearance of my eyelids, I finally took the plunge and opted for blepharoplasty surgery. My journey began with a consultation with Prof. Mahajan. While there was some swelling and bruising initially, it subsided significantly within the first week. I was back to my normal routine within a couple of weeks, albeit with some minor precautions. The results of my blepharoplasty exceeded my expectations. Moreover, the improvement was subtle and natural-looking, which was exactly what I had hoped for. I feel more confident in my appearance and the heavy-eyed tired feeling has gone. The decision to undergo this procedure was a personal one, and I am very grateful for the expertise of my surgeon and the support of the medical team who made the whole process as easy as possible.
