After the german Abitur, Dr. Roth graduated from the University of London, having completetd a joined degree in the field of „Chinese and Economics“( BA) at SOAS, the School of Oriental and African Studies. During his studies in China and London, Dr. Roth took a keen interest in Chinese Medicine and translated medical texts from ancient Chinese into English under guidance of Professor Cullen who is currently the director of the Needham Reseach institute at the University of Cambridge. It was the fascination of the human mind and body which led Dr. Roth to study western medicine. Throughout his carreer Dr. Roth always has been deeply influenced by the holistic view of the human body and mind of Traditional Chinese Medicine. With his medical degree Dr. Roth followed a family tradition: he is a surgeon in the third generation. Dr. Roth relies on 14 years in the medical profession with experience in Switzerland, Taiwan, South Africa and Great Britain. Furthermore, Dr. Roth spend three years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he worked as a Plastic Surgeon being the junior partner of Prof. Alberto Caldeira. Prof. Caldeira is known to be one of the strongest students of Professor Ivo Pitanguy.
