senior partner, has been with Hand Surgery Associates since 1991. He is an orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon who received his medical training at the NYU School of Medicine and completed a residency at the NYU Medical Center. In order to complete the specialized training for hand and upper extremity surgery, he then moved onto a prestigious fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard. Dr. Heyman received his certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1993, with an additional Certificate in Added Qualification in Hand Surgery (CAQSH) in 1994. He has a number of affiliations with professional organizations, such as the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Rocky Mountain Hand Surgery Society, and the Colorado Medical Society. Hospital and facility affiliations include Porter Adventist Hospital, Rose Medical Center, Littleton Adventist Hospital, Sky Ridge Medical Center, the Children's Hospital, and Parker Adventist Hospital.

Biography:
M.D., a board certified hand and upper extremity surgeon, has been with Hand Surgery Associates since 1993. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, moving on to receive his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Britton then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Northwestern University. His surgical education was capped off with a prestigious hand and upper extremity fellowship at the Christine Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Britton was a principal investigator in the national research trial studying effective medications for the treatment of Dupuytren's Disease. Dr. Britton has treated children with traumatic injuries and congenital anomalies through the Hand Clinic at The Children's Hospital for over 15 years. He is a consultant at Craig Hospital in Denver, providing upper extremity reconstructive options for patients with debilitating spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. Dr. Britton is also the upper extremity consultant for National Jewish Hospital where he provides treatment for patients on a national referral level who have rare upper extremity infections. He is an active Fellow in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand as well as a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His professional affiliations also include Porter Adventist Hospital, Littleton Adventist Hospital, Rose Medical Center, Sky Ridge Medical Center, and Parker Adventist Hospital.

Dr Kavi Sachar

In 1984, Dr. Sachar was accepted into the rigorous six year medical education program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the Albany Medical College. He graduated Cum Laude from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1986 and obtained his medical degree from the Albany Medical College in 1990 where he was awarded the Harold C. Wiggers Award for the student most likely to become an outstanding physician. He completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Brown University School of Medicine in 1996 where he won the Haffenreffer Fellowship Award for outstanding basic research. He went on to obtain Hand fellowship training at the prestigious Indiana Hand Center. Dr. Sachar has been with Hand Surgery Associates since 1997. Dr. Sachar has maintained a lifelong passion for learning and teaching. He has served as an associate editor for the Journal of Hand Surgery since 1999, has been a reviewer for the journal Current Orthopedic Practice since 2009 and has been an examiner for the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery since 2010. He served on the State of Colorado Cumulative Trauma Task Force Committee in 2009. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society and the Sigma XI Scientific Research Honor Society. Dr. Sachar has had numerous publications in peer review journals and continues to lecture both locally and nationally. Please see his C.V. above for more information.
