With age,the cheek and mid face tend to lose elasticity and volume .Dermal filler is injected to voluminise the mid face. I  use Voluma. Effects last about 18m. Side effects/risks: Swelling. bruising ,lumpiness, rarely infection and also reports of blindness ( happens when the filler is accidentally injected into blood vessels- adequate precaution is taken before injecting to avoid this, by aspirating first to check that blood is not being drawn up), but there is still a small element of risk.

I recently had bilateral otoplasty with the plastic surgeon at Beautiful Beings. The initial consultation and follow up were at the Beautiful Beings clinic just outside Hull and the surgery was at a nearby hospital. The staff at both the clinic and the hospital were very professional and reassuring. Both clinic and hospital were clean and friendly environments. The surgeon was very clear about what would happen during and after the operation and what the result should be. The cost was clearly set out and payment was easy. The surgery was completely pain-free except for the initial anaesthetic injection (which didn't hurt much at all), and the operation was over in 45 mins. The first night was a bit uncomfortable but the recovery was very smooth and pain-free. The result is excellent, exactly what was discussed in the consultation and I'm so happy!

I found this adorable, friendly salon, a hidden gem. My goal to have some facial rejuvenation treatments to wipe away stress, illness, and years from my face. Lovely, spiritual Aisha (Unique Lashes) advised I have the centre of my face treated 1st. The nasolabial folds, under-eye troughs, the place people look at first. Then next treatments, under-eye top-ups, moulded PDOs and lifting PDOS to give me a mini facelift. I feel I look a lot younger now. Relaxed, humorous, and warm reception. Looks like this wee wonder will be my go-to for facial rejuvenation from now on. Check it out, you'll be surprised and at ease.

The tear trough area is from the lower eye lid to the tip of the cheek. With age, there is natural loss of volume and tissue elasticity in the cheek and under-eye area, which causes hollows to form. This can also create shadows and dark circles under the eyes, which can make you appear tired, drawn and aged, even though you are well rested. Other causes of hollows include stress, poor diet, dehydration, lack of sleep and excessive exercise. We use a specific type of filler, which is the only licensed filler, to treat this area. This filler contains various amino acids and minerals designed to lift the sunken hollows as well as brighten the under eye area, making you appear refreshed and rejuvenated within minutes. A cannula is used instead of a needle, which is a blunt tube used to administer the filler. This reduces the risk of trauma to this delicate area and ensures the procedure is comfortable and quick with hardly any down time. The beauty with this treatment is that you can go back to work without anyone knowing you had anything done!
