I found Nick Birch understood my problem from the start of the appointment, having had a conversation with me beforehand. He took note of the way I was moving and explained the causes, did a thorough bone density scan and gave me a run-down on the meanings of the various measurements on the diagrams. He told me that the way forward would be to have exercises and stretches and as I had been to Sarah on previous occasions to have further physio appointments with her. Later the same day he followed up with a letter to me confirming his analysis and recommended treatment and letting me know the letter would also go to other parties involved, including my GP. I was very heartened by my visit which has given me renewed determination to do my part in improving my condition.

I was very impressed with the makeover of the building of Total Health. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The first visit was free whilst Neil assessed my needs as he explained what the main issue was and we agreed on a treatment plan. I was given exercises to do which was explained and was given a printed instructions and pictures to follow. I had 3 visits to Neil who was friendly and professorial at all times. I was also advised of items to purchase to help with my issues. I would recommend Neil to anyone.

The elements are alive both around and within us and describe the movement of life and embody all the qualities which we encounter in the Natural World. The Ancient Chinese understood the relationship a human body has with the universe and therefore Five Element Acupuncture follows the specific principles of the seasons and the cyclic flow of life. Although its origins are ancient, it is subject to continuous review and is as beneficial today as it was to the early oriental cultures. It is a non-invasive system of medicine, which can do no harm; indeed it frequently improves additional symptoms outside the main complaint, increasing wellbeing. The beauty of acupuncture is that it entirely compliments Western Medicine, differing only in diagnostic and clinical techniques. How does it work? Acupuncture can be understood on the basis of both an energetic and biomedical model of Western Medicine. It recognises the body's "Vital Energy" (Qi), which upholds all life forms. Qi is said to flow in the body's meridian lines, which circulate through tissue, muscles, organs, skin and bone. Illness, disease or pain result from a blockage or imbalance in the flow of Qi and Acupuncture works by correcting/rebalancing this flow and triggers the body's own healing mechanism. I made an appointment to discuss an issue with my arm and I found Sandra to be very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. I was given massage treatment to free up the muscles along with acupuncture and given an exercise band and shown how to do exercises at home. I came away feeling much better about myself and much more informed about my condition. I cannot recommend highly enough. Excellent value.
