I received treatment for a filling, however, during and after the procedure there was a significant amount of pain, even under local aesthetic. I told this to the dentist, he injected more anaesthetic, and I still felt pain. From then onwards, I experienced pain in the treated tooth continuously after the treatment. I returned twice complaining about the pain after the initial procedure and finally on the 3rd visit, I just happened to receive the opinion of a different dentist in the practice (the original dentist was unavailable at the time). The dentist was quite confident that the above mentioned tooth now required a root canal treatment and after an x-ray, this was confirmed. This dentist then re-filled the tooth as a stop-gap measure, which eased the pain a little. I'm not very pleased with the outcome!
