Patients should avoid smoking and drinking alcohol until any swelling has subsided. They should avoid touching their face for at least one day. They should avoid going in direct sunlight for at least two days. They should drink plenty of water after the treatment. They should not get any beauty treatments done on their face for at least a week. They should avoid strenuous exercises and lifting heavy objects for at least a month. They should avoid blood thinning medications for a few weeks.  Patients should perform facial exercises for a few hours after the procedure.

My friend and I came to see Mr Waseem Saeed in London. He was extremely professional, courteous and considerate. I wish I had gone to him for my primary rhinoplasty because I wouldn’t have gotten botched. Mr Saeed took the time to study my friend’s operative report unlike another well-known surgeon on Harley Street who charges over £11k for a rhinoplasty and who can’t be bothered to study operative reports. This particular Harley street surgeon actually botched me! I hope Mr Saeed can fix my nose. I recommend you see Mr Saeed. I don’t think you can find a kinder and more professional surgeon. It is obvious he has not chosen a career in plastic surgery purely for money. He does a lot of charity and humanitarian work which I did not know previously. I was so impressed with Mr Saeed that I will be scheduling a consultation to see him myself!

As the use of breast cosmetic surgery has increased over the last 20 years, we have become accustomed to seeing all sorts of extreme transformations, dictated by fashion or by distorted aesthetic models. However, surgeons now have the moral obligation to help patients reach more sensible decisions, based on the awareness of the problems arising from oversized prostheses. Larger breast implants, because of the pressure they exert on the gland tissue, subcutaneous tissue and on the skin envelope, can cause atrophy (thinning) of these tissues.
